the car is fitted with a superchip as ive just pulled the ecu out, my previous thread on boost increase explains the rest. should i replace chip? it has a Superchip sticker and 300zxtt std written on and the code is 30597. am i safe on increased boost

just been messing around and going through loads of my pics on my pc of various stuff, mates, holidays - the usual stuff... :rolleyes: Stumbled accross this pic of my mate (on the left) and Alex from Pimp my ride on the right of course...... :duffer: :duffer: but can you spot the zed behind him!! :dance: Cant remember when this was taken.... it was in Hedge End in Southampton so only red zed with round light things I can think of is Rodders25??? :dance:

hi peeps has anyone installed a starter button in their zed im trying to do mine and it says you should connect these 2 wires to the 2 thickest wires coming out of the ignition barrel.........but in mine i have 6 and there alll the same thickness they are supposed to go to the starter motor solinoid bit ive looked on the wiring diagrams and to be frank id be better off looking at "how to learn russian" please help me before i blow up the car ( sorry for the non technical jargon ) cheers in advance matty

Been playin with the bleed valves on the zed today. The car is a uk manual and ive just had a new clutch fitted. So been waitin to turn the boost up a bit, anways i turned both bleed valves a full turn antclockwise and i got a fair increase in boost. the gauge used to read around 10 - 11 on the standard but now its readin around 14. i know the standard gauge isnt usually accurate but it still shows a healthy increase in boost. I took the car for a road test and she feels alot quicker on boost, pulling really hard. I have been gettin this unearthly smell in the car when I accelerate hard. I think I know what it is but I am not sure. My car is an import auto n/a. I think it is gear oil cooking, can anybody tell me what is the problem with the j spec coolers? I have been driving the car for 3 years with the j apec cooler on and I just hope the damage is not done.

Hi all, ive just been to look at a K reg 2+2 N/A auto zed for sale, been standing a while now. She fired up second time, but was misfiring a lot. Took her round the block and the misfiring stopped but the engine would not idle smoothly, almost dying then kicking in. I was told this was not serious due to the air flow sensor needing replacing. Apart from that she seems sweet. Could this be a major prob? If not i may be joining the club!

hi peeps just swapped my tweed for leather and on the drivers seat there should be a plug to plug into the power supply for the up/down/forwards/backwards adjuster there is one on the seat but i need to run power to the plug and i thought there would be a positive and a negative but there are 3 spade connectors in the plug on the seat.....are 2 positive and 1 negative ( cos there are 2 controller buttons ) if so which ones are which..ooooh my brain hurts now any advice welcome cheers dudes matty

I would tread very carefully as he has fleased me and I see another Ebayer is not happy. Unfortunately I bought via a wanted ebay mail and so cannot shop him. I will be taking legal action though.

hi guys, just finished lifting the engine today and finally got round to seeing my damaged turbo, and was wonder does anyone know what has caused this kind of damage to the compressor? it was burning a bit of oil and coolant for maybe 200 miles. first picture is the busted one, the second is a good turbo. thanks dave

Don't blame me,was the wifes idea! and I do as I'm told :rolleyes: This does'nt mean we changed our minds about the move, I need something to 'tinker' with and she misses her shorty and how the house sale is going,we could be here another year! :smash: Waiting for the abuse! those thinking of fitting a cooler in time for the summer to save the auto then do it!!!!!!!! done mine this week and not only is it helping the box its dropped my water temp down by 5-10 degrees centigrade by not going via the rad cooler :)

Evening all, Have just taken off and cleaned IAV. After refitting used Datascan to reset idle. I set the base idle to 600ish but when switching back to normal settings idle jumped to about 850. This seems a bit high to me but didn't want to take base idle any lower. Have used search but there seems to be conflicting views. Is 850 too high. car runs well now so shall i just leave it alone. :) Have cleaned t/b's and all connecters. dont think there are any vacs leaks. Any advice appreciated cheers

hey up Guys First off all I´d like to thank you all for your help in the past few months ,I even managed to sort the temp gauge problem eventually, although i have no idea how, just worked again after being dismantled and reassembled for the 10th time :) New "problem" , although it´s not really a "problem" just a minor thing ...when I have to brake hard ( Germany with no speed limits on the motorway *grin*) water sprays out from the left windscreen wiper fluid jet thingy, anyone got any ideas ..other than avoid braking hard ? cheers Maz

as above, whats the best set up i can use keeping standard size, i wanted smithys big brake kit but due to the design of my wheels i cant use bigger brakes unless i change the rims which i cant afford at the minute, so what discs with what pads do you lot recommend and where can i get em from? :D need em asap

Is it possible that a set of 19 anteras from a 350z will fit my TT properly? the guy selling them does not know the offset, rears are fitted with 275/35 fronts are 245/35 will I have any probs? many thanks for any help.

What do i need to do to sell things on the OC ? Im new here, and it wont let me post for some reason :( maybe someone could hepl me out as i have parts i need rid of to make space :(
