Hi all,just wondering if someone knows why my temperature guage stays really low when up to normal running temp? It literally stays on the 'C' symbol.Is it just the coolant temp sensor and if so,is it common and where abouts is it located please? Thanks. :)

Hi my 300ZX is driving me mad, At night I have break lights and indicators but no back lights have an auto elec look at it but no luck front lights are fine, anyone had this problem or any ideas to the problem cheers Jo

just as ive posted the car for sale, somethin goes wrong!, was driving today on the motorway and was hearing a rattling noise it happens at idle and gets worse (when hits 6500 its so loud) i use vpower fuel all the time and im only on 10.5psi, the car is not loosing power just sounds rattly! the oil level is fine (topped up recently) i had to drive it like 30miles but wasnt thrashin it once i heard the sound i obviously want this fixed before i sell it now, but will it be an engine out job? any suggestions what it can be, ive turned the car off and turned it on an hour later, still the same noise, cant get it looked at cause my mechanic is on hol…

Hey, Just after some generalised advice on a V6 twin turbo build. I brought what was left of Marks G reg Red 300zx after everyone had stripped off the goodies and my intention for the car is soley as a track car stripped down to the bare minimum, just two bucket seats and the dials. So far i've took out all the plastics that where remaining in the car when i brought it (if anyone wants those i'll let them go for next to nothing), took the air con out and all the heater matrix, aswell as all the associated hicas equipment, anything else for saving weight? Which are the most reliable, high boost capable turbos that people have come across? Links t…

The power steering fluid has been pushed out of the cap on the pas pot. I now have a grinding noise as there is not enough fluid. Is there a fuse that controlles the hicas electronics and stop the solinoids from working and making a dead hydrolic circuit? The Fluid is red hot in the pot and the bay is also hot. The worst I think is pas pump, anybody help? Thanks Allan

Hiya, finally got my a*se in gear and am in the middle of fitting the Honda start button - following your thread last year. Can you help me out with which wire it connects to behind the ignition switch?? I've got the button fitted, relay sorted and I'm OK with the first red wire going to the cigar lighter 'live feed' and the black one to earth, but damned if I can figure out the correct one behind the ignition barrel :( Really don't need the grief if I cock it up. well guys now i have finaly sold my madza i now have cash to spend so i went down to the local scrappy and picked up some goddies Heatermatrix In V good condition powersteering hose ( we now on closer inspection don't need it but hay spares) Speedo convertor chip A/C conversions heads for R134a Gas Two rear seat belts ( for my m8) oh and 2 cans of coke ( thristy work taking out a heater matrix Guess how much i spent....................................... You ready for this £7.20 Speedo convertor is already in my zed and works a treat the car feals much more lively and she pushes past 120mph :dance: :dance: :tongue: :duff…

As above, aftermarket spoiler, a TT i think.... i was going the other way... cant gawp too long at the wrong side of the motorway. Was in my delicious traffic film coloured vivaro so you wouldnt have noticed me.

Can anyone tell me if a Japanese Spec NA Autobox is the same as a TT UK Spec Autobox. I am having grief with me auto box and have the chance of an NA Autobox. Cheers John Crisp

i polished the zed yesterday as it had what i thought was a lot of road film and greasy spots on it... only this morning i go out there to find its re-covered in these small stubburn sticky spots that i have to scrub like fook to get it off... my first question is, wtf is it? i dont park under a tree but i park near this bush... ... my second question is... what do i use to get it off? a clay bar or an electric polisher... etc? cheerZ Joel.

My gear stick has suddenly started feeling really loose and wobbly, it changes gear fine (apart from the occasional grind) but no matter what gear your in the stick is really loose/wobbly any ideas?

can any one help me my 300zx after a major starting prob which iv solved, tends to take 3 turns on key to start even with that i have to give gas for it the revs to get up and stabaliz, it never use to its always been first key starter, this has only come on after the other starting prob which made the car totly a non starter,it turned out that the ign coil relay wasnt getting the earth from the ecu to trigger the coil,iv done a temp fix of direct earth from body that way the car starts, im not sure if its the ecu faulty or a broken wire from ecu to coil, also the other problem is that the car idles fine after the rough start but soon as i take it on road and boot it it …
