finished a few jobs on the zed now ive got code 21??? also a very rough idle sounds like theres a cylinder off? have had a search through the forums and it sounds like the ptu playing up??

sry my car is a 91 j-spec n/a swb

got a load of new parts fitted and when iv got car bac it is'nt running just the same, i got new s/s exhausts from manifolds to back boxess and the down pipes on the old system had pipes that used to go into the engine im told but the new exhaust down pipes dont have the same connections on them for pipes to be coming from engine to them and so wer cut off. my car keeps cutting out now and it didnt do that b4 i had this new s/s system fitted and also its losing some power when im driving along, also had new battery fitted cos it was not starting and after the new battery went in it started well but kept cutting out, now it wont start any more unless i get a jump. why…

I can't help it!! :wack: Was only gonna' change a headlight bulb but it got out of hand!! Then Boldy mentioned he had some HID's,so they went in along with smartening the lights up-OH! and fitted a 'box cooler (ta,Pete!) Ooooo, and I got tomorrow yet! :smash:

Finally made my mind up which i was having :dance: Utralite Hikari.s , 8.5 /18 front and 9.5 / 18 rear :dance: Didn,t fancy polished or diamond cut alloy cos of corrosion issue,s in the future , these have polished stainless steel rim faces ,so no corrosion :bow: Really chuffed with them :hyper: :hyper:

well after lots of cursing and damaged hands and most of the morning I can confirm that a carbing rear strut brace does not fit a convertable Z. someone welded a large chunk of boot in the way, off to buy a bigger club hammer......

Just been wondering.. how does the AEM Plug & Play Engine Management System from stillen work?? Lets say the car is standar with 300bhp. Can I increase boost with that instead of buying a chip? And if I change to some aftermarket parts later on.. can I make a new setup with.. lets say.. 555cc injectors and new intercoolers and so on without replacing the chip? As I understand if I have an AEM then I don't need to have a chip from JWT or any other...

What the Main reason and advantage of mounting top feed injector's into the Throttle body Boost hoses? i know there is an advantage to high rpm power? I was surprised to see this as you can get upto 890cc injectors for these engines? Touch me for a Link > :D

Anybody out there know what fixings are used to secure the brake light into the rear spoiler, been trying to remove the blank panel to install the brake light assembly without much success :( is secured by screws or nuts !!!!!!! Cheers Al :cry:

I'm finally removing my plenum to replace my leaky injector O-ring. However, I'm having real problems getting the metal retaining clips off which hold the injector connectors in place :rolleyes: Anyone got any hints or tips on this? I don't have access to a pair of dental clips (WTF are they?) as detailed in the TT.net how to :tongue: CheerZ in advance for any help! Steve :)

hello where can i get a set of those nice chrome rings cheap that go in the speedometer? also is it hard to get them in? i know how to get the speedometer out, but does that black part come out too?? so i can put the rings in easy? thanks

help required. no power to wiper and air con switch assy . had a intermittant noise from osf lower footwell. could this be the time control unit ? (next to fuel pump relay) thanks in advance

Possibly ! Just been speaking with Jeff at Zedworld tonight and he's told me about a SWB TT Manual in Black on a H reg that has been nicked from there early hours of this morning. I say possibly a fellow Zedder being involved is because of the knowledge the culprits had of Zeds and their workings in general. For reasons i can't mention, this SWB was boxed in with other cars and it was disabled by Jeff personally as well as fitting a sterring lock. The culprits gained access to the blocker cars BUT removed a particular part from one in order to fit to the SWB in order to start it and then drive it away. Your average car thief am sure wouldn't know what parts were…

My N/A import uses loads of fuel when the ambient temperature drops below about 12'C. I lose about 40 miles per tank full, and the idle stays high for about 4 mins on cold start ( up to 2k!!). Does any one know the resistance readings of the ecu temp sender, or is this normal? I've had over 20 cars in my time and never noticed a different mpg between winter and summer this extreme.
