Well its obvious, you have to love them to own them. BUT Every day i drive it, it gets better. My autobox is improving every change, smoother and more responsive. Went out over the weekend and gave it some rice, so you would have thought that the fuel consumption but it would be abysmal... however this tank has been the most economical ever The vibration my car had at speed has also just pretty much disappeared! So whats changed?? Fitted an Apexi air filter over the weekend, amazingly seems to have massively improved fuel consumption?! Also fitted smithys big brake kit to it, (so it stops much better as well!) So i've come to the conclu…

Just wondering if there is any extreme mileage reading on any of the z's here. I read threads so often beginning with "i've got a 1990 z with 55k on it........" I'll start the bidding with 132k. (did have a KPH to MPH conversion before I bought it so only god knows the real mileage) . Love to know of any 200k plusses

I have read that fitting big brakes can upset the ABS and it kicks in too early and in effect makes your brakes not work very well at all. Anyone know what this is all about? Is it when you go over a certain diameter?

As above. The car is silver faded into light blue towards the rear with a strike in silver (IIRC) from the boot/wing to the front doors. Parked outside a house right on the A10 a little way up from buntingford.

where can i buy some new ones without having to buy a new blow off valve kit? i had a boost leak and found the end had blown out of one of the bung thingys that blocks off the re-circ valve so i took the valve off and replaced it with a 28mm copper stop end then the other side went so i did the same but i cant use them to replace the bungs on the bottom of the induction pipe due to the material the pipe is made of and the bungs are showing signs of perishing, if these go all together my engine will run lean so i need to find some asap! any ideas? i asked at the local plumbing gear suppliers nd they couldnt think of owt and told me to try halfords but i doubt they would se…

Hi, my car recently started pinking & i have owned the car for 2months. It is manual 300zx twin turbo ,1992 with bmark chip(?) to run upto 1.1BAR,full exhuast upgrade with de-cat pipes, blitz induction kit, boost jets running 0.9BAR. My problem is detonation,so i checked the timing & its was reading 15deg's & i have had to retard it to 9degrees to sort the pinking , does anyone know the cause of this problem as i have allready checked plugs, coils, ptu & cas connecitons. Could this be down to the bmark chip (no info found on web about it,had a look at the ecu & the chip is labeled Z32M.440) ,does anyone know about this chip or anything causi…

Hi all, i've just changed the autobox on the Z but didn't realise the battery had been re-connected the previous night to lock the car so when i've reconnected the starter motor i've touched the casing with the 13mm spanner while attaching the live causing it to arc. Now there is no power, what fuses should i be looking to check as i can't seem to find any blown. Many thanks in advance.

Good morning all, My crankshaft is damaged again (second time...) but this time i was lucky my rods are not damaged. The problem was that i didn't know how to choose the correct size of bearing. I'm not a mechanic, i just like modifying my engine and i pay what it cost to learn ;) So my question is about my crankshaft. I could go with a brand new one from nissan for 1080€ or make muine to be rebuild, re balance and lighten. What should i do? I would prefer going with a rebuilt and lighten as this will be an upgrade for the engine but don't know the back side of doing this.
