Just taken my rear lights apart and was wondering, should I just change the orenge lens to clear, or the orange and red? I know im gonna need new bulbs if I do the full swap, also is it best to leave the reflectors white or should I paint em silver, this isnt for personal choice, its just when you look at most lense conversions they only seem to show changing the orange lense but my red one looks a lot reder than most completed ones, Ive got the oven on at the mo so this is a bit rushed hope you can understand it

Well so much for the engine running cooler with the new oil cooler fitted :D My car dumped it's water after a 4 mile drive this morning, fortunately just after pulling up in work's car park! I've had a look round and can't see any damaged hoses :confused: Most of the water is around the battery area, there was a pop as the hose went and lots of steam. The engine temp was marginally higher than normal and it still ran fine on all 6. Any ideas/shared experiences with the cooling system's weak points would be much appreciated as I need to get this baby home tonight.

Can anyone tell me where i can find a wiring diagram that shows where the injector cables go back to. ie do they go back to a resistor or straight back to ecu? any info or links greatly received. Muffin.

I need to get myself a soldering iron but realise i actually know fook all about them! Would there really be any difference between a cheap 5 quid jobbie and one for say 30 quid? is the wattage important or will that depend on the gauge of soldering i intend on doing? i kinda like the idea of gettin a butane cordless one but would i be right to assume that it would cost a bit more for the same spec as a cheap corded one?

Hey guys, I have a 1996 JDM N reg Silver Manual with 80,000kmh on the clock in good condition and running well, only mod is an air filter and alarm system. Engine Oil changed every 3 months, all the usual servicing has been done in the last three months - i.e. sparks plugs, fuel filter, gearbox and diff oils, all known issuses have been sorted and the cars been fully wax oiled and underseal applied and the timing belt has changed at christmas. Records and Receipts for absolutely everything. Was thinking of selling to help fund another project, My question really how much would i be expecting for it in the current climate pricewise? Any comments would …

Aftermarket steering wheel... iv got a stupid wooden one thats half the size of a 2 pence piece and im too embarrased to put a photo of it up! i want to change it but can never seem to find an aftermarket design that i like, some ideas please?... so far my fav is the momo millenium in steve-300zx's car, closely followed by apaches momo.

A mate of mine owns Clarksons old SL55 AMG and reckons it would piss all over my Z. I've got a SWB with basic mods - filter, decat, chip, 1 bar boost, and it feels pretty quick. What are my chances of shutting him up? :) I reckon they'll be about neck and neck, the SWB flies to 100 and we wont be going over that anyway, cos someone said it was illegal?? Anyone have experience of the Merc? Paul C, hope you read this, how does your Z compare to the AMG?

Hi 32z 1990 twin turbo I have the anti lock brake light on all the time,I removed fuse to see if it was the fault but the light stays on without fuse,is there another fuse apart from on in box under hood,also turbo gauge(original fit) does not move it is minus hard to the left I have checked vacuum pipe which is intact,any ideas as I am new to 300zx and only bought it 3 weeks ago so struggling to find anyone to help with problems thanks bavis

My 92 Zx Tt Has Been Running Funny It Sounds Like A Subaru Than A Nissan, When I Started It In Morning On Tuesday All Day It Sounded Like A Subaru,y-day All Day It Was Like That But When I Got Home I Left It Running In My Drive, Without Me Doing Anything It Engine Tone Changed So I Reved The Car And Gess What It Sounded Normal And Smooth No Longer A Subaru Sound, So I Parked It Up, 2day I Started It And It Was Sound Running Normally After About 3 Miles 20 Min Engine Running And As I Was Driveing The Engine Tone Changed Again, I Noticed It As Car Vibrates More,i Left It Parked Up For Few Hours When I Was On My Way Home Again Still It Sounded Like A Subaru, When I Got Home …

...unfortunatly not for the better, yet LOL Made a start on the Slicktop this afternoon... On the Interior.......Stripped it ! Dash, doors, trim, carpet...Literally everything ! and exactly the the same to a 94 Uk LWB thats breaking for parts. Forgot to take before pics, but it had the rare Blue interior (blue dash, doors, carpet..everything!) which I was'nt keen on so fitting a complete series 3 Suede Interior with Black Dash & carpet. :cool: Tomorrow it goes back together...I hope !

Well the good news is that Suzy just let me know my old '600' was rolling roaded and after sorting out the crap set-up(me!) managed to get 400 hp!! :D Bad news is,the car aint' mine!! :cry:

Twenty past four this afternoon. Modified Z in sandy yellow colour and white bumper and its fair share of filler. Had 4 pot rear lights too.

my 92 tt is smoking when warm at idle the smoke is grey and smells of burnt oil it does not smoke under load or when cold and it only smokes out of the passenger exhaust ive changed the oil and filter I think its the turbo seal by the sound of other emails Can the passenger turbo be removed without the engine been removed i will be greatful of any advice Chris

Well after getting my oil pressure gauage to work I was putting it all back together and found I have a lighting problem. I now have constant main beam and no tail lights tell me its a simple one please.

I was browsing on zcentre.org.uk and wa looking at the spec differences with UK, Europe and Jap Zeds. Now I know I have a jap Zed, but im conerned about my speedo and mile counter. I do have the 180K/mph Clock in my car like this : Thing is, on mine it has a black sticker saying MPH stuck over the center of the clock (covering the kmph dial) My question is this : Was there any mods known that would let you slap a mph sticker over the dial and modify the dial to show mph specs? I dont think im doing kph, i would notice if i was doing 70kmph on the motorway! :p

i think im having a dumb day today, but here is the jist of it. My car failed the mot due to camber problems and i needed 4 tyres to get through the mot. i bought a set of 225's to go all the way round on 17" rims. the fronts were spot on, the rears are far, far too small so am looking at purchasing some proper tyres for the size rims that I have now on mytyres.co.uk I purchased the following for the front Kumho Summer tyres ECSTA SPT KU31 225/45 R17 94Y XL BSW now iirc, the Y is for the speed rating, correct?
