Hey guys. I have a '91 300zx tt 2+2 and when really on it i get a crunch in 4th and 5th but none of the other gears which is annoying coz im scared to go into 4th and 5th when nailing it as you really have to wrench it in to get it to go into gear. It will slide in if you keep the clutch down and let the revs die off but then thats loosing alot of speed and the car youve just destroyed now catches up which is pretty lame. Any Help would be great. Joel

Hi, I'm looking at buying a Nissan 300ZX, if i'm honest i'm suprised they will insure me so I need to check if i've got this right. I went on http://www.confused.com and typed in my details, put a 300ZX Turbo 1991 and this came up:- "NISSAN 300 ZX TURBO 1990-1994 2960cc COUPE Manual Petrol" So I clicked this one, which I believe is the last shape? but the insurance for some reason is really really cheap and for some reason it's cheaper than a non-turbo one? Am I missing anything? Also if this is the right quote is there anything I need to look out for, i'll have about 2.5K to spend max, I would prefer manual but if I get a better car then don't mi…

  8. Hi all Started the car up yesterday and noticed she was tapping quite hard. Had a listen around and if I put my ear against the plenum, front one on the right I can hear the sound really loudly although it does quieten down a lot once the car has warmed up though. Any ideas would be appreciated!! Trying to get a video up but it's the wrong format and I'm in work  so I'll try again laters. Anyone know of a garage round Aldershot, Farnborough area who might know what they are talking about?? Cheers

my brother and i fitted my sgp underdrive pulley today :D found getting the old pulley off a real PITA until we took the rad out. but after that it wasn't too bad. also took the opportunity to change the viscous fan and sort out the idle problem (the air reg was sticking). so its been a very productive weekend for me. the car now feels much more willing to rev at low rpm. really pleased with it. just gotta fit my headers now :D

Does the grounding kit make a difference to how the car drives I just fitted one of Petes (cheers mate ever so easy to fit and looks the dogs) and took her for a spin, wow just so smooth and effortless. I gotta say the best £35 I have spent on the car.

Went for a spin today, first time in a few weeks. booted it on A30 and immediately lost a couple of cylinders ( went all lumpy and cat light came on, unburnt fuel). limped home about 10 miles. Would this be ptu, connectors or? any suggestions to try out or check whats gone wrong!

iff your thinking of running over 15psi on standed tubs,i/c,s and injectors then read on. after some bad detting resulting from going to 0.8mm on the tips and getting 17-18psi  i thought ide go back to 1.0mm and achieve a safe 15psi but whilst changing them over i poped out a plug and found clear evidence of detonation in the form of plug colour plus looking down the plug hole with a touch noticed the crown of the piston was clean and shiney right under the plug with carbon around the edges, thus proving the heat and severty of the flame front was starting to attack the crown by exploding the carbon off and next stage would of been meltdown  . anyway ba…

Help, My Turbo timer is a full auto timer, but since having an alarm fitted, it's decided to go bonkers. It starts up ok and then stops for no reason what so ever.... I can't get any options on it by selecting the Select button. It doesn't produce an auto countdown function at all anymore and doesn't even show me the battery volts... Is there a user manual somewhere out there that can help, or has anyone had similar issues. Regards Paul
