Does anyone know what kind of signal the speed sensor gives out??

 

ie is it a pulse or varying voltage ??? And do we have any idea as to values/frequency for a given speed???

Are you measuring at the sensor itself or the speedo head?

At the speedo head - I would suspect that it would be a pulse signal but would like to know frequency and voltage level :D

 

Don't really want to dismantle my dash now that I've just finished refitting the interior :cool:

I'm sure it's a pulse but no idea on frequencies I'm afraid.
