Well after the oil problem i spoke to Topless (thanks mate!!) and the Z has gone back to the garage i bought it from. The oil could be coming from any number of places and its under warrenty so it's not even worth me investigating. And just for a kick in the b#lls as i started it up to position it behind the truck it dumped about a pint of coolant onto the floor :( :( I'm not excepting it back until its A1, i've only done 800 miles since i bought it

Has anyone experienced their larger brakes fading? I had a not so nice experience as I was racing a motor bike the other day, came to a roundabout and the brakes decided to fade. They have never done this before, always thought they had been pretty cr#p but this convinced me. Luckily there were no cars coming & I got round no problem but had to stop all the larking around. I have got the 320 or 330mm large discs with the spacer on the calipers coupled with carbon pads. Do you think I need to upgrade the calipers now?

Took my car to a Garage in Cardiff the other day and to have my turbo timer sorted (which it wasn't)...Strange that I had a Toad alarm fitted then the timer stopped working properly...I was then told that toad a greddy aren't a good combination....anyway, back to the point. The Garage whilst trying to resolve the problem, ran my battery flat, boosted it, then ran it flat again, now it won't hold a charge and I need jump leads to get the car started. Question - The car is a 95 Japspec TT auto. What battery do I need and can pick one up from my local halfrauds? The weathers nice again and I can't drive the thing..... Regards Paul

A great tip for cleaning the temp sender & permantly removing that green crap. Unplug & remove from car leave in half a glass full of Coca Cola overnight, it will come out like new, thoroughly dry out before reconnecting. And if you lose or havent got the securing pin, secure with a cable tie.

I am planning on doing my plenum bypass this week or the next, i want to use blue silicone hose for the cooling hoses and also for the vacuum hoses, as i plan to change all my hoses (eventually) to blue. I have found a link posted previously and it says i need the following. 4 feet of 6mm fuel line or water hose 3 feet of 6mm vacuum line 2 feet of 4mm vacuum line Can someone tell me where i can purchase these items, i can get the vacuum lines from Smithy but i would rather purchase it all together and as far as i can tell Smithy only sells the vacuum line and i have been told this is no good to use as coolant hose. Any help would be much appreciated. Many th…

what pads do most people recommend to go on the fronts of a zed? had EBC redstuffs on previous cars and been pretty happy with them. the discs are grooved aftermarket. Dont want to spend the earth but want something that is reliable and safe for non-track use.

Very simple question it's laughable but seeing as I'm totally ill, I'll have to ask. Oil pressure gauge sender started leaking so I have replaced with another, the replacement has a ground on it. I have wired it as you would, but when I turn the ignition on the needle just shoots right over. I have turned the 2 wires around sender and ground but still does the same. I know this is so simple but can't think, lol Thought I'd do a quick job on the car last night as I wanted to be active as I've been in bed and doin nothing till last thursday. The sender and the gauge both have grounds on but are not grounded together. many thanks

Hello All, Strange problem going on, now and then in no particular interval my zed decides to dump aload of coolant, this is coming from the front left where the expansion tank is. The level in the coolant tank reads way above the "H" mark in fact its almost full???? The car never overheats, temp always good, no H.G. issues. I cant understand it, is it just a case of the tank being overfilled?? ive never had to touch the cooling system before, but like i said the car does it when it pleases but doesnt overheat. Any ideas will be appreciated
