I was on the motorway yesterday and saw a puff of smoke in the rear mirror so stopped. the smoke was from the back of thbe engine and not the zorst. No warning lights on, engine temp ok. I let it cool down on the hard shoulder and cruised home. Had no probs after that and have all the gears and overdrive working. Was giving it some welly at the tome so was thinking maybe the auto box?? Going to warm it up and check the levels in a minute. Anyone had anything similar??

:headvswal my car seems to have developed a new problem, when it feels like it she won't start, it turns over fine but it just wont fire up. there dosent seem to be a set pattern as to when it will do it but leave it a while and she starts first turn of the key :confused: i've had the alarm checked and its not that but i'm loosing patience with it now shouldnt ave sold me other one, need to get it sorted as it seems to be slowly gettin worse and i travel 64 miles a day in her if anybody can help please

Evening peeps, Am finally getting my camber woes under control, and now my beloved Zed is eating my battery. I originally thought it was a knackered battery, as it was fine left on her own for up to 10 days - 2weeks to which she would be pretty flat. bought a new battery, and seemed fine - but the same problem is now reoccuring. thing is, the battery life is getting worse - its now dropped from 10 days to around 5 - darn thing couldnt even start today. Im guessing a bad earth - but any ideas what could eat the battery like this?

Here are some pics of my crank to show the mark i described on the big end bearing at the front of the crank. there are 2 marks on the bearing journal and 1 nasty bite to the bit above one of the marks. there are a few pics to show these from different angles.

Got my pods back from Ollie today and fitted them they look fantsatic ! Giles has done an outstanding job for me anyone else on here that has the mod done know what im talking about big thanks for Giles and his Patience. its been a few months in the making with me working in kazakhstan for a month at a time , anyway all done now will try and post up some pics later tonight or in the morning steve

Ive got a pair of HKS sequential BOVS (second hand) and up untill an hour ago I had every part for them, Hohever I needed to replace the very small pipes on them so I went to my local very small pipe shop and he sold me a piece of pipe for me to cut and fit, got back home and started fitting the pipes when I realised that one of the little connectors (the disk shaped one that you attach the small pipe to either side of) has gone missing, either Ive left it in the shop or the dog has ate it, how important is this part? I thought it may be just a connector but when I looked at the other one it isnt just a straight through pipe so im assuming there is something important in …

had oil changed about 3 weeks ago, but noticed the car smokes alot (not when warmed up, its not too bad when warmed up) i used a halfords oil filiter and 15w 40 oil the smoke wasnt there before the oil change is 15w 40 more likely to cause smoke? my mechanic says some Forte Seal Conditoner should help if its the stem valves but if i was to change the oil to 0W 40 would it help the smoking (considering its thinner oil it shouldnt but who knows) their is no performance loss whatsoever and the car boosts the same, its just a bit smokey for 10mins or so

OK, mujina disabled my hicas by pulling out a connector under the bonnet and putting a little peice of metal in one end of it. This in turn would keep the wheels straight all of the time. Now i am just wondering if this actually makes much difference and is it worth having done or should i reconnect it (so that i have enabled the hicas again) I was just thinking well nissan put it there for a reason, but then i thought well people buy the disabling kit thingies for a reason too. What should i do?

Trying to remove a rusted pair of back boxes on my SWB TT and by heck the bolts wont budge. Thing is cos i am working under the jacked up car i cant get a good angle with the uber bar i use for getting wheel bolts off. Any ideas?
