dumb question possibly, is the 120k timingbelt kit the same for american cars and uk cars? i may get one through a work colleague in the USA is why i ask.

Right I've taken off the balance bar, removed the coil pack but how on earth do I reach down that hole to reach the spark plug? Any idea's

morning peeps, hope you are well - I have re-shimmed the the front upper arms to repair my front camber issues.... which worked well - which is brilliant. however, the car is now pulling slightly to the left, and is suffering wheel wobble at 55mph+ Now, I know the pulling is due to the tracking, which probably needs to be done... but the whobble is usually due to tyre balancing - but I know these are ok as they were balanced only a week ago. anything else that could cause the same symptoms?

I know this is a jap colour, but would you need to visit a specialist? The people who did my respray couple of years ago couldn't do flip colours but they are sound guys and i'm hoping to go back there and do the yucky work , stripping and masking and all that myself to keep the costs down, just wondering If anyone else went down this road on a budget?

Hi Boost controller in question here is the Apexi AVC-R. Today I replaced the auto door lock/interior lights fuse. It had a 15 amp fuse in it and I put the correct 10amp fuse in it. Lights worked ok and clock got reset. I then drove the car tonight and it was losing power when it got into about 0.7 boost (basically once the stock gauge reached about 0.7, the car just lost any power, seemed like the fuel supply had been cut off, kind of juddered a little. I checked the boost controller afterwards and it maxed out at 0.82 bar with 4152 revs. I have had slightly higher boost before, with revs above 5000, so something was definitely not right. Went out yesterday to put petrol in the z and noticed a strange horrible dent in the bonnet...had another look today and seems like 2 dents now, but the strange thing is it looks like been done from inside, like pushed up or something nasty has popped up, doesnt seem at all possible for anything to have done it from the outside :confused: I do have roadworks happening around my area but like i said looks like something under bonnet popped up, car is driving fine too. can anybody point me in the direction of a thread describing how to correct my odometer .had to change my clocks as ive killed my originals whilst fitting indiglo dials.the trouble is my car had 130000 or so clocked up and the replacements got 68000 which wont tally up with my recent mot certificate.

as youve seen on my other threads im having serious problems with my zed, i need it looking at as soon as it comes out of the paint shop. decided to keep her!! and spend money on her and know its right rather than sell it and buy another that may go within 12 months. please give me details of someone or somewhere i can get in touch with. Im subscribing on tuesday morning so i should get some money knocked off i hope it wont be as expensive as i think its going to be!!!!

hi guys, i have recently set-up my avcr apexi controller with a rolling road guy! the car is max boosting at the desired 16psi and with all my other mods should be around 450+ at the fly, thing is im not sure the car seems as quick as it should be low down, seems to take a while to get to max boost! admittadly its an auto but in std form i used to get back end out all the time but now cant? my question is can you adjust the rate at which boost pressure is gained throught the apexi controller?? when set up it was adjusted with change of duty cycle not kg pressure! is this correct? if not at what setting should i put pressure too b4 adjusting duty cycle?? a…

The oil pressure sender that goes in my sandwich plate is leaking, never noticed it was this until the second sump full of oil squirted out :wack: Anyway its an aftermarket sender that I got with the gauge, I don't know where to get one from for a start but it looks like a mechanical sender rather than electrical but I can't see any mechanical ones anywhere on the net. i think my turbo's have gone!!!!!! there's whistling when i kick down with blue smoke coming out of the back and very low oil pressure, first time i have actually tried to put my foot down as you all probably know i bought it with body damage. The oil needs changing desperatley so i plan to do that first then go from there, with the info ive given you what do you think??? i am going to start a thread in a min about this so if you wish you can answer me on that. cheers

Renewal price by Bell was a shocker so have been investigating other options. I have an import TT and the prob is that on a lot of the insurance sites it just says 300zx import turbo. I rang elephant up who said it was just for a single turbo but I'm just trying to clarify that there is only a twin turbo version isn't there? Its irritating trying to deal with them explaining it can only be a twin turbo so that must be the option for my car but he just said they can only insure a single....which I thought didn't exist :confused:
