I don't take the car out in the rain often but last week end went down to south Devon in the pi$$ing down rain and had water coming in the n/s targa seal! i think at the top of the A pillar, what can i do to rectify this and were /what parts should i get Dave

Curious to know how many of us have our cars off the road and why. Mines having a manwell conversion, new body work n paint job etc, lowered suspension, adjustable upper & lower arms, new alloys, new guages and a little bling etc, strut braces, short shifter blah blah blah :cool:

This morning I was woken up by a knock on the door to tell me someone had driven into the back of the Z :cry: :mac1: :rant: :headvswal At least they had the decency to stop and give insurance details (The only witness being a police officer might have had something to do with it) To say I'm Pi**ed off is an understatement

Can someone solve an arguement for me please : I've changed my front wings for viper front wings from Z centre and i'm wanting to take away my side repeaters so the wings are totally smooth : But 1 of the mechanics in my work says that you NEED side repeaters in order to pass an M.O.T and another mechanic says that it depends on how old the car is, but he does'nt know the exact age it needs to be. Can someone clear this up for me

My Z is moving from its country life to the big city this weekend (2 mins from ace cafe yay!!) Its not going to be really used during the week and its parked on the road. I really want to keep it as Mint as possible so i was thinking of a car cover. I heard good and bad opinions on these and just wondered if anyone had any info. Do they scratch the paintwork?? Do they make the Z more appealing to a thief or chav vandal??

I have one ordered but i need it before the weekend to install it and mine has been delayed :( If anyone does have one in a box that there not installing for a week or so then i dont mind buying it from you and selling you mine when it gets there or if i can nick it and send you mine as soon as it arrives :D Many thanks Mike

Red 300 reg no J914 something driving north on A614 at Bilsthorpe between Nottingham and Ollerton mid afternoon.

I got my 300 about a week or so ago, its done about 65k miles. When i looked in my rear mirror i saw some blue-ish smoke comming from my exhast, i drove it for a further hour and saw none.. is it possible the turbo seals are going at 65k miles? :confused:

Just recived a boost leak tester from z1 motorsport. Hooked it up. Used the compressor to apply air. But couldn't get any pressure to the system. Sounded juyst like the air moved around close to the MAF piping. have I done anything wrong or is just that I have a major leak somewhere near the front with the maf. (sounded like it came from the left side.) couldn't see anything from above the engine.....

Going to give him a mini service and replace a few parts and do the oil change. Wish me luck as I'll be doing it all myself. This will be the biggest job thus far I'll have attempted on my Zed. I hope I can get it ready in time of Japshow @ Santa Pod as I'd like to take it down the strip. Eileen

could someone please tell me what fitment i need, i want the hids for the dipped headlights, car is a j spec tt auto, cheers guys.

Can anyone help Paul who has no PC access?? He just called me but I know nothing about boost controllers etc. Basically he want to know if a boost controller and or AVCR thingy will loose the settings if the battery is disconnected overnite??? Hi all, My Autobox is shagged (well, getting there shortly) and I am looking to get it rebuild to Fast Road spec with a view to adding the Shift At Will (SAW-II) gear in the future. Does anyone know of a RELIABLE place who can do the rebuild for me. I don't care where it is in the UK as I have a spare autobox to send out. But the company needs to know what they're doing - no back street cowboys who claim the world and then don't deliver. Many thanks for your feedback - much appreciated as always! Cheerio! Was going to replace my 02 sensors for the mot test and try again. Ordered from Z1 motorsport but got only one of the sensors. So can I pass if I change the one sensor and only messasure that side??

I took the covers off my old ECU and there is some blueish powdery stuff between some of the contact which could be down to some water penetration. I have cleaned it up and will try it out again to see if it is ok. Anyway, I performed an oil change before getting the car started as advised on the above thread. I decided not to warm up the car first to soften up the heavier oil as normal with oil changes and weighed this up with the fact that…

Hi everyone. I've spent enough time lurking on here. It's time to come blinking into the daylight... I'll try to contribute some useful stuff (not that I know much about anything), but for now I'm asking for advice. My car has a couple of problems. 1 (fairly consistent) - driving along at constant speed, boost needle is just under the half way mark, revs showing just under 3000rpm (between 2800 & 3000), speedo showing just under 80. I get a slight misfire. Not much, but annoying. As soon as I squeeze the accelerator, it stops spluttering and accelerates smoothly.
