I'm living in Plymouth for a month attending an electricians course in Exeter....... I drove down from London today car running fine no problem at all, stopped at Exeter to put £15 worth of V-max in and about 15 minutes later i feel the car isn't running as it should....a few minutes later it starts coughing as though the fuel isn't getting through, pull over and check everything and the idling is so bad it almost stalls.....everything looks ok check TPS, plugs, Temp sensor, plug and PTU but all looks well.....left the car for an hour start it up and seems to idle ok, my first thought is the fuel and second is the PTU but it's a series 2 so surely this would be ok????…

Ok guys, here we go again! Erm, i was at the local market this afternoon and had a emissions test carried out. Erm.........didnt come back very good! Because of the overfuelling, the guy carrying out the test reckons it's a straight MOT failure! SO.......my question is: Does anyone know of how this is fixed? Is it just a matter of taking to a garage and getting them to tweek the ECU to reduce the fuelling levels?????? Cheers for any help!

Fitted some ss silencers from jetex yesterday, took me all afternoon to cut the pipes, weld in boxes and reuse original tailpipes. Sounds alot better now the sharp bark has been muffled though, that thing was loud! Anyone struggling looking for SWB zorsts, try jetex they supply any size boxes you want.

Just seen one on Steelite carpark in Middleport, Stoke-on-Trent. It was a blue import with aftermarket front bumper, it was there from about 12.00pm, and was still there at 2.00pm, you left your lights on as well, looks like you were at the BBC Antiques Roadshow who were there at the time.

Hello, Ive recently had my car serviced - due to an idling problem, which the garage have put down to the Air Flow Meter not working. They have since informed me that a new one will take 6 weeks to arrive on back order from Japan and I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas or methods of obtaining one? Or whether or not second hand ones are worth investing in? It is a 1990 non turbo SWB manual. Any assitence would be greatly appreciated,

Yesterday my cousin got married and I ended up taking the Z. Now my Great Auntie Margaret who we all call super-gran still lives on her own, goes hiking up on the mendips every day etc. She's just been hand-gliding for her 85th and wants to go bungee jumping as well. Anyway, she's a right hoot and has always wanted to go out in the Z. So after the wedding ceremony, it was decided that she hop in for the drive up over the mendips to Bath and on to the reception. Knowing what she was like I thought it would be funny to take the car up to full boost in 1st 2nd and 3rd and she absolutely loved it! Seeing an 85 year old being taken off on a reasonably hard launch ask…
