could someone please tell me what fitment i need, i want the hids for the dipped headlights, car is a j spec tt auto, cheers guys.

Can anyone help Paul who has no PC access?? He just called me but I know nothing about boost controllers etc. Basically he want to know if a boost controller and or AVCR thingy will loose the settings if the battery is disconnected overnite??? Please?? Hes calling me back later. Or someone who knows can PM me their phone number so I can pass it on??

Hi all, My Autobox is shagged (well, getting there shortly) and I am looking to get it rebuild to Fast Road spec with a view to adding the Shift At Will (SAW-II) gear in the future. Does anyone know of a RELIABLE place who can do the rebuild for me. I don't care where it is in the UK as I have a spare autobox to send out. But the company needs to know what they're doing - no back street cowboys who claim the world and then don't deliver. Many thanks for your feedback - much appreciated as always! Cheerio! Was going to replace my 02 sensors for the mot test and try again. Ordered from Z1 motorsport but got only one of the sensors. So can I pass if I change the one sensor and only messasure that side??

I took the covers off my old ECU and there is some blueish powdery stuff between some of the contact which could be down to some water penetration. I have cleaned it up and will try it out again to see if it is ok. Anyway, I performed an oil change before getting the car started as advised on the above thread. Hi everyone. I've spent enough time lurking on here. It's time to come blinking into the daylight... I'll try to contribute some useful stuff (not that I know much about anything), but for now I'm asking for advice. My car has a couple of problems. 1 (fairly consistent) - driving along at constant speed, boost needle is just under the half way mark, revs showing just under 3000rpm (between 2800 & 3000), speedo showing just under 80. I get a slight misfire. Not much, but annoying. As soon as I squeeze the accelerator, it stops spluttering and accelerates smoothly. I have tried searching the forum and cant find anything to help. My car is smoking like a pcv clogged biatch so i know thats on my to do list alongside new brakes. Also on the list is a remap. 1st question, can the standard ECU be remapped or will i need to fit a chip ? 2nd question, can anyone recommend anywhere (pref in Essex) that will remap or supply and fit a chip. Had the car off the road for the last year , has sat in the garage whilst fitting wide arch kit over the winter without moving (started car every couple weeks but never moved it). Anyway , now that its ready to go in for painting i've discovered that the gearbox (auto) is stuck in Park and impossible to move it unless i press down on the little lever (right at the back of the stick). Then it is free to move up and down all the gears until it is put back into park. :headvswal Also, the gearbox doesn't bleep now when in reverse. Never ever had any problems with the box before , so surely aint it ****ed :confused: or is it? Going to change the gearbox…

hi guys couple of questions if you can help please?? 1, can you change boost gain rate on the apexi avcr? as it seems to take a while to create full boost! 2, does any one know what sort of timing i can run with this set-up? is it a case of advancing a degree at a time and listening for pinking then retarding a little? my set up is:- blitz sus induction G reedy side mount i/c's apexi boost controller nismo 555 injectors smithy's t28 hybrid turbo's ported and flowed exhaust manilolds split divorse down pipes custom de-cat pipes scorpion silencers snow water / methanol injection :hyper: any help gratefully recieved! regards steven

Put my new Series 2 Climate Control Unit into my car yesterday and im not sure if its working correctly. I had a Series 1 unit, so i just plug in the series 2 unit everything lights up properly and the A/C works but what does the Mode Function mean and whats the fan symbol mean/Do when activated?? I did find out that it has a auto cycle though but im sure i should be able to adjust my own air vent directions and adjust the fan speed. Can anyone help??

Has anyone changed the rear fuel lines under the car? (The ones that enter from under the car(above the diff) and up into the trunk)) How much work is it to change them?? Is it possible to do without removing the diff??

Shell has gone for scrap, so thats another one gone!!! Just some rear lights left, then thats everything Z gone.

was just wondering if there is anyway to check oil preasure rather than the standard gauge. the gauge has always been a bit random some days it reads ok then others it hardly reads anythin. but for the last few days its been reading just above zero constantly after driving for a bit. not really want to drive it with no oil preassure lol im getting new gauges put on the pillar soon but need the car to drive the now.

I cant remember what time, but it was dark grey, looked two toned with a black bootlid and top, had gold alloys. it was going towards mansfield.

I may have to take legal action about this one but i want your opinions if it's going to cause a problem. Basicly i took my crank to the engine shop for some work and they scratched the main bearing journal on the crank now they were very honest and pointed it out to me but said it was cosmetic and not going to cause any problems. My mechanic has said it's fooked and not to be used, he has asked other peoples opinions on the scratch and they say the same thing. They are also saying you took it to them in good condition all machined to size and got it back like that. Im interested in a set of dump/blow off valves for the TT. This is my first Turbo'd car and was wondering what other people are using. Really im interested in that Flutter sound more than the air phshhhhh. Is that something to do with wastegates?????
