Hi Guys I'm driving down the motorway in my automatic twin turbo and she is cruising at about 3,500, then all of a sudden without warning she will increase revs to 4,500 but she doesn't get any faster. After a few mins she returns to normal and the does it again. Oh and I have had a new/old engine put in recently, don;t know if that piece of info is a help or not. Any thoughts????? :headvswal Spencer

What could be the possible cause of ZX boosting to just 0.5 bar... Things I have checked / points of interest... 1) TPS voltage is fine and seems ok, idle is steady at 1K after the car has warmed up 2) Power to boost solenoids is 12V+ when the throttle is open 3) Can't seem to find any major boost leaks but engine does sounds a bit more hissy than other 300's I have had - difficult to see exactly where the hiss is coming from, it's roughly towards the top of the engine near balance bar area... 4) Have cleaned cleaned up some of the connectors such as water temp, TPS, AFM, but doesn't seem to make any difference 5) ECU check is all clear Code 55... …

I have recently bought two sets of alloys first i purchased some 19 inch which are 8.5 J Front and 9.5J rear, when I went to had them fitted I was told the hub bolts are not long enough for the rear, So I purchased some 18 inch 9j Alloys and it seems its the same problem. I have had to other zeds and have never had this problem. I was told to go to nissan to get longer hub bolts , but dont want to pay nissan prices. Anyone else sell them or know where I can get these bolts from. Cheers

MAJOR PROBLEM: HKS SQV2 BOV, Need advice from people running BOVs! Hi there, I installed 2x HKS SQV2 BOV today. I bought the universal kit so I had to buy 2 caps at the hardware store to plug both holes from the air inlet pipes where the stock recirculation valve were spitting back to the intake. I bought all brand new clamps for the installation. The universal kit also comes with the hose adaptor for the vacuum that goes on at the back of the bov. It The large side fit the OEM hose, then I added a vacum a bit smaller that connect to the BOV nipple. I made sure that everything was very tight and nothing was moving. I added zip tie and a clamp …

I have got the Z booked in on the rolling road at John Noble next week. The new engine seems to be running very well... But every single time I go full throttle the boost maxes out and hits the limiter on the pro spec 2, as soon as this happens the power drops off and clouds of fuel come out the back. I have tried turning the pro spec 2 right down but it still hits the limit (12 psi in low mode), just takes a little longer to get there. Its fine at 3/4 throttle just not full, every time. So... Its going on the rollers to be setup by the pros I'm just hoping its not a leak or rubbish actuator causing it

As above..... .......I took the ZX to the Lake District last week and yet again the car was faultless (passed 90k mile mark whilst away too) Over 1200 trouble free miles including a rather quick 300 mile trip there. It's what these cars were made for afterall - fast motorways and faster A-road travel. It made short work of the cross country trips too, having plenty of mid-range grunt to pass the crawling old folks on their hols at this time of year  I even took it over the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes; the latter was a bit hairy in a wide, powerful car but it was no real problem. At one point a chap in a Zafira in front of me decided to film m…

Hey all My car has got some jap coilovers on it at the mo but the are rock hard and seriously low. Can anyone recommend a good set up for road and track? Id like to stick to coilovers as I havent got any of the original parts. Then I need to get some adjustable tension rods etc as its running on standard equipment. I replaced the engine loom and in so doing removed the interior and dash, repaired anything that needed it and put in some new "chunes" as well (thanks ebay!). Found a couple of loose hoses in the engine bay and having put it all back together with a new ptu and plugs and coils it runs like a dream. It was smoky but now seems to have cured it…
