Whilst driving about in Yorkshirethe passenger side of the engine started to make a noise like a scalextric car with 415V up its arse. Well when i bring up the revs. Turbo power is half with the needle on the dash not going beyond half way. So is me turbo buggered and how much to replace? Bum grapes :(

todays plan was to: 1) calibrate my speedo correctly 2) a)replace my km/h to mph converter to see if this helped my power steering problem or b) do the resister replacement mod 3) remove the annoying reversing bleeper not going to plan so far: 1) where is the pot to calibrate the speedo??? any ideas how to adjust it without a pot, as it is way out since my manual conversion: 2) a)new km/h converter fitted - still got power steering problems so b) where is R10 that needs replacing., mine only go up to R5: 3) where the @**$@ is the reversing bleeper, i can hear it from somewhere behind the dash, found the lights left on / t…

Hi guys, Got my first Zed - 92 TT Manual in black. Really happy with it but i think i have a boost leak. On hard acceleration i can hear a hiss from the engine compartment when the boost kicks in. Dont think it wasw doing this when i got it. Also, when engine is warm the idle is a little rough at times. Someone mentioned that it could be o2 sensors? Does this sound right? Cheers guys, Andy

One travelling towards Rudmore r/about (near Ferryport) and one in the Tax office (ooooh, errrrr :( ) car park at Cosham. Both around 5.30 pm. Always knew 'reds' were 'common' :p Come on people, keep seeing 300's around Portsmouth, surely one of them must be owned by a club member!!!

I saw a very nice looking (from the front anyway....) metallic green ZX in Sainsbury's car park, Aylesbury this morning. It had black 5-spoke wheels - I think it was an L reg TT..... Anyone? Richard :cool:

I need to look for whilst removing engine ie: parts that should be replaced while it is out. Did read on here some where that engine mounts should be replaced? any help would be most helpful regards Dave

HI Peeps.. been thinking of increasing my boost..running a standard uk tt at 9.5 psi. Will 14 psi make me go f*ckin ell and put a rather large smile on my face..done brakes and cooling etc to cope :)

one of my mates he changed his engine with a uk one ,he's got a jap tt and he put a uk tt in the car ,anyone knows if he's got to adjust the timing or to change the chip or anything else ? This is the 3rd engine he changed in 2 months and know this engine is got a ticking noise and i don't know exactly what is is,it sound like a realy bad tappets noise but the sound is not always there...any ideeas wat it can be? the oil is been changed with 10w60 rs castrol

Is there anyone that know how to wire speedo converter please? I tried to register my newly imported Z today but the guy at DVLA office want to see prove that the converter is intalled. Ihave the converter but don't know how to wire it I have attach the pic of the unit I have. Any help is appreciated

any help when started from cold after a minute or so drops to 750 rpm then hesitation on accelarater [slight foot presure] rpm drops 200 to 300 sometimes cuts out then up to 750 again [no problem when warmed up ]advice things to check ? :duffer:

Ive just got nissan FAST, which is the database parts system thing... Does anyone happen to know their vin number just to see if its working. hello folks I've asked before but have installed new engine wiring loom on engine (z32 TT) which I have outside of car at moment and would like a looksy at loom of a car in working order to check my work. no dismantle etc just a look and some pictures with camera. I live near Richmond North Yorkshire and happy to travel to most parts of North yorkshire this weekend if possible any help welcome cheers Paul

I am going to get my tracking done this afternoon after installing the new adjustable tension rods and fiddling about with the height of the coilovers. There is a garage near me that i have used before with the Hunter Laser 4 wheel tracking equipment. The trouble is that when I have been to have my tracking done before they always seem to say the little caveat of, “we can only return the settings to standard”. I am not sure what exactly this means when the suspension is not the same as standard (bigger alloys, lowered suspension, adjustable camber and adjustable tension rods for the castor) as will they put the settings as they would be if it rolled out the factory w…

I`m trying to put heated adjustable leather seats into my 1995 Jap import. Problem is my car only has a 4 pin male connector under the drivers seat and the new drivers seat has a 6 pin female connector. I`m getting a replacement 6 pin connector tomorrow but I need to know what each pin should be connected to ie should it be +12v or ground? Anyone fancy tapping out their connector for me or knows where to look to find the info. And before anyone points out the online cct diagrams - I don't read Klingon :rofl: Cheers Mark
