Hi all, Just spent the afternoon trying to "improve" my saggy seat belts. Read this forum and just about every other. I think though that the springs inside are just tired. I've tried winding them up a bit more then putting it all back together but it doesn't really improve much. Firstly can you get replacement seat belts? Will those from a different Nissan fit? I only need the white recoil part as the rest is sound. I wonder if this is interchangeable between another Nissan? For the sake of slightly sagging belts I'd sooner not spend £100 a side sorting it so trying to find belts that are interchangeable might save some £. Cheers

I have 2 pairs of mirrors for the Z but the plugs are different and 2 have an H on them and 2 have an E. Does the H stand for Heated (uk spec) and the E for Electric (jap folding). I'm probably wrong but i'm sure some one with a big brain will let me know. Thanks in advance.

everything on the front suspension is under two years old. these tention rods were part of a fully adjustable setup including upper arms, transverse links and coil overs. the car is driven hard but, never to its limits unless tracking it. the torque settings are checked at regular intervals with no signs of anything loosening or cracking. cheers Mark

Some months ago now i noticed some bad noise coming from 1 2 and 3 of the gearbox, turned out to the the input shaft (i think), it dissapears when the clutch pedal is pressed. I got a very low mileage gearbox for a mere £200 from Japcars, over in Hythe and had it fitted. The guy local to me in Twickenham noticed a piece of metal on the sump drain plug and suspected it could be part of the synchro. I started the car and couldn't believe how quiet it was then drove up the road noticing i crunched 4th gear but after doing this time again on the way home i knew something was up! Called Japcar and told them of the problem who very kindly offered to repair t…

Hi all, As some of you are aware I've had a bit of a nightmare getting my car sprayed as a bare metal job. It finally looks like it's moving on but the problem I have is surface rust and it's especially bad where the door hinges are. The quetion I have is how do I make sure it's gone and ready for etch primer? I've found this - http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8229 and wondered if anyone has ever used it or knows of anything better? Thanks Vijay

Finished the repairs yesterday and took the old girl for a drive. Everything seems to working OK except the steering. Getting the typical sound you get when power steering fluid is low, gets worse at full lock. Feels like the power steering is cutting in and out, although everything moves smoothly when car is turned off and on the jack stands. No leaks anywhere and fluid is OK. Any ideas?
