Its the first clear sky we've had for ages and the sun is out... where I live anyways. So I got the zed out, took off the targa top for the first time in ownership and went for a spin. Now I know why I bought it. It looks awesome (even tho mines just about standard). It sounds fantastic. And by god does it feel fast... maybe the fact that I drive a 1.4 astra as a daily runabout helps this! Roll on the summer!! Sorry if this is a pointless post Im just happy my car seems to be running so well! Have a good day all!

I have been having problems with my auto box for over a week now. The usual high revs before changing, only changing first to second(High revs) but not selecting 3rd and 4th? The problems seem to vary from day to day. Auto diagnostic for ECU says code 3...so fitted and set up a know good TPS sensor to the correct voltages, reset the ecu by leaving batt disconnected (over 1 hour). The fault code disappears and the power light stops flashing when ignition first switched. Leave car and re-start following morning to go to work and the dreaded power light is flashing again!!!!!!!! Also noticed power light flickering on even though in normal switch posi…

I recently bought a leather handbrake gaitor from ebay and really pleased with how it looks, italian leather, nice and soft and smells great. Just on the offchance, i phoned the guy for a centre console armrest cover, he did them but needed a template for the z32 lid, so i sent him mine and he has done it for free, as he needed a template. Its double stitched and looks the biz, its up on ebay now if anyone is interested, really cheap.... dont be put off by the low price tho, it is top quality.

Just a quick question. At the moment im having my engine changed. First question is, how many people changed their wiring loom when the took the engine out. The second question is can the loom be changed with the engine in. Just in case there are any electrical gremlins after the change. Is it worth changing. What do you think?? Cheers ;)

I'll be getting my car back soon (thanks to Mr Duff) with refurbed standard turbo's, rebuilt engine with 88mm pistons, underdrive pulley, decatted, profec b etc etc. I'm hoping to run the car at 1bar of boost - would I see any benefit in fitting larger SMIC's, specifically the Z1 units. I notice "Steve-300ZX" has uprated his intercoolers and acheived extremely good bhp figures. What do you think?

Well here comes what`s becoming my annual whinge about garage prices where I live ! Last week had MOT costing £50 Failed on track rod end and front tyre , (Result , I thought ) Today , I supplied the tyre and TR End ( Thanks john300zx ) Charges : Labour To fit Track rod end : £126 To fit tyre : £ 35 !! Valve and balance , Tyre disposal , " Environment " and " Sundries " (WTF ? ) : £ 23 So , with VAT , bearing in mind I supplied the parts , the total was : £216 Am I mean ? Does that sound reasonable ? Bearing in mind West London . Opinions welcome .

The climate control only comes out hot is it possible that he did something wrong when replacing the matrix? i checked the sensors under the steering and they seem fine. but there are some blue connectors coming out the air/con ecu could this be the prob?
