Hi Everyone Lately there has been quite a few cars for sale and some with respect has had quite a lot of mods done to them. There is one forsale for £10,000 I think and had nearly £42,000 done to it. Now I know there is a lot of things a person should look out for. From bodywork done to it and so on. But What about Engine mods? As I know what to look out for on a standard car such as mine but when you see a custom where do you start. In most cases do you think its not just best to take a specialist with to check things over and insure things are done correctly? Any advise would greatly be taken onboard! Thanx again Nico

I've recently had a re-con gearbox fitted but noticed on collection some oil had leaked as the drain plug was loose!!!!! Rather than re-fill with new oil i just added some MT90 although not sure what was in there already..... Anyway, i now find that after driving for a while the gears seem slightly harder to change almost as if someone has added treacle to it, could it be the oil as i'm using two different types or should i drain it all out and re-fill with all the same oil??? Cheers Alex

ok, i've just had my engine rebuilt but to complete my performance mods, i'm looking for either a new set of sidemounts or a fmic (if it can fit behind the standard bumper.) I'm a great believer in you get what you pay for but i spotted this on ebay and just wondered what people thought? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-TWIN-TURBO-INTERCOOLER-KIT-INTAKE_W0QQitemZ230216369330QQihZ013QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Cheers Mikey

Saw a black Z driving past me and my mates as we were walking back to the car after coming out of the Mogul Indian restaurant. Looked like it had a large single exit exhaust but didnt catch the plate or any other details as was dark. Was 26/01 at about 8:30pm. Was this you or does anybody know the owner of this car? would be nice to know another Z owner near me.

Ok, so I have charcoal bolsters with contrasting dove grey stitching to match the dove grey centres as per photo... I am having the door cards clad in the leather, but in sections and double stitched so it looked more factory fit as I don't like the 'stretched' look at all. Obviously this isn't mine as these are white, but I am undecided as to whether I want the black stitching on the dove grey leather to match the opposing contrast of the dove grey stitching on the black leather or whether to keep the stitching like this photo; ie, the same colour as the leather. Kinda, the opposite to this?

Hi, just bought a 1987 turbo. It appears the nearside headlamp has a blown bulb but no idea how to change it. I haven't got a manual to it at the moment. I remember when I had a Gen 2 RX7 I had to take apart the pop up unit to change a bulb. Can anyone help please?

So the list of "to do" is growing. Needs a radiator, a starter and fly wheel, and a general tidy up, I discovered more today.......... Battery is flat, so I don't bother locking it - not like it can be driven off anyway! Last few weeks I have noticed the rear spoiler "bubbles" getting worse due to the frost etc - today opened the boot and nearly drowned with all the water coming out of the tailgate. Needs a major service - although I know the engine was replaced just before I got it, I don't know the guy bothered to change the timing belt. It was a mates who was going back to the UK when the rad blew, and I bought it for beer money, literaly. …

Hi i went to a friends garage today to check my CAS timing out. I was with two mechanic friends, one of them works for the AA one for porsche (great). They looked under the bonnet and said "its ecu controlled" and they couldnt time it up with a strobe gun, but i was 100% sure it could be done as i have read threads here on how to do it but they said it can only be done with a computer... bo**ocks..... So they said best to just move the cas into the middle for good cause..... great so my timing hasnt been done and the car is still detting and reverting to safty boost.... This is SO LONG. I told them that i have messages people who work on these engines all day…
