Help! I just been quoted >£500 for replacement brake lines and the price is high because the rear axle has to be dropped! Does anyone know a way around this without compromising safety or any body who can do the job in or near Leeds? The car also failed on rusted rear sills, am thinking of buying a wire arc welder from ebay for this but is there anywhere I can get replacement pre shaped panels from - I know ZCenter used to sell them but hes stopped now due to a greedy manufacturer?? Any help really appreiciated. PeteH

Morning all, I have a engine problem I could use some advice for. The engine will not rev above 2500 rpm. At a standstill if I hold the throttle at 2500rpm the engine appears to rev itself between 2000 and 2500 rpm, very rythmically like hitting a rev limiter as it chops at 2.5k. In fwd motion as you hit 2.5k the car judders violently. Over the last few months the car has had a similar problem, it was reluctant to accelerate under light throttle, it would stutter etc but would get through it and rev out fine. Sometimes though you could run it without a problem. I have had issues with the two water temp sensors at the front but am pretty cert…

I have a red warning light on the car when I've driven it for the first time to the MOT station. It is above the hicas light and to the right. Looks a bit like a horinzontal rectangle with 4 vertical lines coming from it above and below? Any ideas? Only came on under slight load then when out.

hey man spoke to the guards at the office where you had the prang with Tracy lol he could not really do anything as he wasnt sure of what he could and could not do, so he gave me the contact numbers for his superior if you wanna give him a call, details as follows but try the Southend office first before the mobile number. His name is John Chapman and he is the security manager. Southend office numbers: 01702 371026 or 01702 371027 if that fails here is his mobile number. 07786 312238 hope this helps as the guy I spoke to said he could not see it being a problem.

I know this has been asked many times before but I require a courier to collect some turbos from someone in Essex and deliver to Bristol, which would hopefully be cheaper than Royal Mail. Any suggestions are welcome.

Well nexus performance have had a good look underneath the car while running to see where my oil is leaking from. seems to be a leak from the front AND the rear so for the front the cambelt is being removed and changed as it is coming from a pully of some sort, For the rear the gearbox needs removing to further investigate second leak which seems to be a crank seal. so if the leaks are what he says they are 700 odd quid is a guestimation at the mo. Well it needs doing so gota get did. I was expecting around the £500 mark but there you have it. i dont feel gutted to be honest as this is my little project and im happy to spend money on something i enjoy…

Hey all Idle Control Valve playing up :( Just when cold (1st start up of the day usually) just goes up and down (500-1100) for around 10secs then is fine and no probs afterwards for all of driving! Had the same Prob on a previous car and Shot Carb Cleaner down the Throttle Body which sorted it! I know it depends on the Control Valve but would this work or would it just do nothing?? Many thanks Munny
