Look at what I found over the weekend. The aluminium connectioned to the oil cooler have corroded and cracked! Good job I spotted this before the track day!

please can anyone help latley car has been revving to hi so when putting into drive car is stalling when pulling away. i have to keep foot on brake pedal to lower revs before pulling away. :headvswal

Hellohah chappies and chappesses... I am looking to replace my smokey tubs but do not want the gamble of re-con units... i would like some advice from peoples experiences for what to go for... I dont want silly power, though my internals are forged. I dont want anything that requires special manifolds as i already have divorced downpipes and de-cats... i currently only have the standard injectors fitted but will be upgrading to 555's in the not too distant future. So basically, in reflection, i want to run a reliable 14ish psi without overstressing the tubs with the potential for a couple more as and when more fuel flow/cooling/braking etc becomes available…

Sunday about 4pm I was at the traffic lights on Earls Court Road when I spotted a black Zed heading West towards the M4 . Round rear lights . Never had a response to any of my previous posts in " Was It You " , so won`t hold my breath :D

Hi all My car has been off road over winter while I upgrade suspension etc. I have been stating it up about once a month letting it warm up fully by driving it. Have not been boosting it much if at all. I also need to replace the coil pack connectors as the clips are shot and its not making a connection (intermittent misfire). Anyway I used datascan to pin point which cylinder was not firing and it was cylinder 1. Fiddled about with coil pack connector then all ok. Ran an ecu diag and came up code 34 det sensor!!!! Started 4 times with this code. What could have caused this? Been stood for a while? I am a bit worried. Took the car out for a drive, felt…

Well, having had the bad news about the knocking being a big end and the conrod was furbarred to boot, well Jimmer would not re-use it, things are looking up. He also found an absolute wrecked piston which really did not matter as I had already bought Wiseco's anyway, but I am hopeful for some improvement in general performance and running. There was a lot found to be wrong with it when it was being stripped which gives me great hope about its perfomance when it is back on the road. Left work on friday , was driving for about 1/4 mile and thought it felt a bit harsh at the back so i stopped and checked and my n/s rear tyre was flat :rant: Now i know that driving on it this far probably fooked it so turned around and went back to work so i could use the trolly jack , tried to pump it up but it wasn,t having none of it , took the wheel off and the tyre was cut nearly all the way round the inside wall :shock: :shock: So on with the spare , i,ve now took all the Ultralites off and fitted a set of standard wheels temporarily :cry: Looks crap but drives sooo much better , first time i,ve driven a zed with standard rims !! is iit just my 300zx tt that the brakes are crap on or is it a common thing? i am literally standing on them n nothin. no chance of ever locking up. is there something i need to know? or is it an upgrade i need?

I recently bought my 1st 300, and have just noticed that it looks like two hoses are missing from the engine. Are these supposed to be missing?

Just driven back from Great Yarmouth. It was great fun, called in at the M11 meet, was 2 hours or so late, didn't see any Z's there, went on to the South Mimms meet and didn't see any Z's there either. Haven't seen any all weekend in fact. Have to say had a great thrash off a roundabout following a CBR bike I think it was. Think he was a biut surprised that I could keep up and then at around 70 ;) his pillion got a bit scared and made him pull over. Gave him a thumbs up as I went buy. Despite the car being filthy got lots of admiring looks off young and old. All in all it was a good drive home despite seeing no other Z's. Darrell

I absolutely love my car I've been working very hard to get it right and sort out the niggling faults with it. But this last week has left me almost suicidal. At the beginning of the week I was stopped in a lay by and a Polish Lorry driver decided to reverse into my car totally buggering up the front bumper. So now I have to go through the insurance to get it replaced. I took the car in to have the exhaust looked at as it was blowing on one side. I ended up coming out with a whole new system. As on my previous thread, I have a faulty det sensor would this cause the engine to irratically tick over?? or have I other problems?? only the code 34 is showing.

Since having a coolant change on my '91 tt, my blowers now fail to give out heat,also,there is now a gurgling sound constantly coming from engine,this is obviously an airlock in the cooling system but i really dont know how to fix this. Can anyone guide me through this? cheers.

Hi guys , just wondering how long it takes your ZX to warm up ,to the half way mark on the gauge? ive only gotta drive mine a mile before its on the halfway mark so im wondering if i have a bad temp sensor, maybe thats why im getting saftey boost :rolleyes:

Does anyone know of any z specialist garages or mobile mechanics in the south?

when i first start the car and pull away,when i change to second it sort of crunches but it only does it that once. and more so when its cold if i go back to the car hours latter it doesnt do it, its always on the first start of everyday. does or has any one had this same affect....
