Hi, does anyone know how to uninstall Apexi controllers (fuel/air & boost) from a zed, a turbo timer, and Greddy temperature and boost gauges? Is this easy, or a pain in the a**e? Cheers.

Anyone on here know of or can do some aluminium polishing? Need my plenum and front water pipes doing. I have given them to a local lad to do but he’s had them for a month or more and still has not started. Not too happy but he says the machine where he works is broke. Dont really want to do it myself as i dont think id have the patience to finish once i started. Thanks Paul

Hey all just picked up the Z I bought few days back all is ok considering im gonna get the interior going in a month or so :D Now the problem was ok while I was in town but once i hit the motorway and got past 70 i get a droning sound almost like a bearing but sounds like its coming from gearbox but i will have to experiment some more in a few... any ideas first off ? I know its gonna need work done so have prepared myself for that scenario lol

I just bought some grey suede to re-trim my interior pannels, its rubber backed and really good quality, it normally sells for £40 a metre, i got nearly 5m for £20. The guy says he has about half a ton in various colours and also 1 ton of leather in various colours and also alcantara. Just thought i'd let you all know, if anyone's interested i'll post the details, i bought mine from ebay but he said he rarely lists on there. I'll post his ebay details in a minute, his names Garry. :duffer:

I thought the hanldling of my car was going off. It seemed less stable at high speed. I guessed the suspension might be a bit tired. I bought a set of lightly used shocks and springs - adjustable KYB with eibach, 20mm drop I think from Andy Z (Auper Car Parts). He said they've only done 2000 miles. Then I found my car had a slow puncture so that's why it felt unstable. Puncture fixed and the car feels fine now. So - do I get the shocks fitted anyway (I guess this cost about one to two hundred quid in labour plus a camber correction kit?) or sell them on?

Peeps, Ive come to the obvious conclusion that the boost has been upped in my latest zed, as it is currently running 0.7 of a bar (10.5 psi). Would i be right in assuming that the only 3 ways that this could have been done is: Boost Jets, Manual boost controller or Electronic boost controller. My car has neither sort of boost controller, so im assuming that its had boost jets fitting. If this is that case, what size do you think they would be to only provide an extra 3.5 psi of boost? secondly, as ive never had a zed that uses jets, where are these fitted and how do i get to them? Finally, im also assuming that its been chipped to deal with …

One of those "whats it worth" questions. Divorce looms and so does filling in the dreaded Form E. 1990 2+2 NA, 70,000 miles, manual, Mongoose exhaust but standard other than that. Barely legal tyres, shudders under braking, blown up and bypassed heater matrix and bubbling rear spoiler. Oh, and just to make it even more atractive, no MOT. Open to suggestions but I thought somewhere around £900? Not that I have any intention of selling it!

Anyone know much about Cusco Diff's for the Z32 ? I have the option of getting hold of one. Its 2nd hand, in a NA rear subframe setup so Im guessing its based on a NA R200 Diff....which is exactly what I want (less weight, and NA ratios) What i need to know though is what Ratio its likely to be...I want the NA 4.08 ratio...is that what it will definatly be or did Cusco do its own Ratios, or did they do Custom ratios ? Dont want to fit if its going to be using TT ratios also...what type of LSD is it 1.5/2 way... mechanical, viscous..etc ? Cheers

Im hopefully buying another zed after the theft of my last one, it'll be my third (unfortunatley it'll be my missis driving as i have lost my licience). Any way all my zeds have been 89/90 models and was wondering which year was classed as the quickest?? I know they removed the vvt in the later years. and the add on's made them heavier. Does this mean a good early model in standard form is quicker than a standard late model.

At long last after finding the worlds best example of a ZX i have got an arivel date. I found and ordered my car on the 18th of jan,and have been driven mad ever since not knowing how long a had to go befor its arivel.Nobody told me Japan was the other side of the world. Severel of my freinds have said they will kill me if i even hint at having a new car one more time,is this normal? I may have pointed out i have a new car once or twice or maybe a lot actualy but i think they may be over reacting. So all i have to do now is live untill the 30th of next month and life should take a turn to the fast!!.

Has anyone fitted them without thinking I wish I never bothered    I'm so fed up with trying this and that that I can only see the funny side!! I also can't beleive that none of the major seat brands, such as Cobra, OMP, Corbeau, Sparco do anything for the 300ZX  , yet they do the subframes for the 200SX!! The only light at the end of the tunnel is that the Cobra Misano's look absolutely stunning in the car, although in hindsight I may have gone for a re-trim and be done with it lol

After 7 months of the Z being in my possession, a new engine and various other jobs to restore her she's off for the dreaded MOT on Friday  From the information off the previous owner she has been off the road over 12 months so god knows how it will go, fingers crossed
