For some strange reason I have some 8mm fuel hose on my car at present. I've been informed by a reliable source that I need 9mm. Anyone got a good source online. I'm lazy and can't be bothered to do real shopping :)

With my tempoary engine a little rattley from the bottom end it was obvious the bearings were going but I hoped it would last the summer. I was then going to drop in the new one and finish the engine conversion but after a night out on Friday in her I have killed the engine. Sound like a bag of spanners even at 800rpm! Had to nurse it home at 20mph this morning, even then I didn't think I would make it. It's a complete arse becuse now no driving it in summer  The only thing I considered was trying to change the bearings in situ (depending on crank condition) anyone tried this before??? It would be tempoary to last until October.

I basically hate all things electric, but had a little idea with all the mini laptops coming out. I presume there is one that fits in the speedo cluster space, and you could have live conzult/blazt information on the fly as you role down the road! I believe it is a legal requirement to have an odometer, but you don't have to get rid of it, you could cover the speedo perspex with carbon fibre transfer and replace with a original clear item for the MOT. If you are worried about car thieves wither fold it up and have it painted black and or put a rag duster over it when parked. The only issue would be power cable/usb coming out of the sides, if there was …

During the process of trying to get my car sorted I have had one head ache after the other as I have said in previous threads. Today I thought OK its time to remove the fuse panel and relays in the foot well drivers side. Just as I was pulling (gently) on the looms that surround it I noticed a black multi plug with nothing connected to it. I searched and eventually found the other side and managed to reunite the pair and guess what???? Yep! the list of problems I have been trying to fix magically fixed themselves. All this crap I have been trying to sus out was down to some idiot so called auto electrician not pluging one loom connector together? Anyway the car …

Had a few parts powdercoated and have ploished some other bits up while im rebuilding the engine. A little different from just the usual polished everything under the bonnet that everyone keeps doin. Wat do you think??? before polishing after ploishing Am pleased with how it should hopefully look when i get it all put back together. Still have a few more parts to come back yet so will be a bit better as it goes on.

Hey all I have the electric fan kit from Zcentre and twice now I have parked up gone off for half an hour or so and then come back and the car wont turn over as there isnt enough juice in the battery. I have replaced my battery with a 680Amp job from Halfords and hopefully that will fix it but as its hot I'm guessing the fan just runs until the engine cools down but this could take a while??? Has anyone else done anything to fix this? Switch under the dash maybe?

I know the det sensor has been covered in numerous threads but I can't find the answer to my question anywhere. I followed the instructions in this link, when checking the resistances of the ECU side connector one wire had 0.5 Mohm as it should, the other wire which should go to ground was getting nothing. My question though does that wire need to be relayed all the way back to the ECU or can it just go to any ground? Thank you EDIT: This is probably a really stupid question, but I'd rather not risk screwing anything up

What started as a Family type BBQ at Jaffa's turned into a leave the kids with wives and work on the car :). We got mine on Jaffa's drive to check the fuel pressure which should have been at 45 psi. Mine was sitting just below 20 psi :o. Using the adjustable fpr we got this up to 45psi. Then adjusted the tps from 0.64v to 0.44v and idle rpm down from 1300 rpm to 825rpm. Took it for a test drive and it feels much better, no need to heal toe anymore when chaning down a gear while breaking. It also idles nice and smooth now. Overall it drives very nicely now and has some very nice pull low down in the rev range. Big thanks for Mark for doing all the…
