turned my car off, and could hear a hissing for about a second after. i opened the bonnet while engine was running, and could hear a air leak. is this on the Z standard? or has someone added it to the intake plenum? (its only on the right side) looks like theres a pipe thats come off it? can i just block this up? or should it be going to something? on my S13 there was something similar, i was able to plug my boost gauge into it??

My 95 zed? Mine has the lights in the cluster not on the surround, however the plan is to fibreglass this surround up on the left side to mount a boost controller screen. Something on the right also but not sure what yet! I just need to know if it'l fit around a series 4 speedo cluster?

Lets make a list of all things you would like to see made specifically for the z32. Maybe someone/companies might take notice if there is enough interest for certain things. I'll start. 1: I'd like to see carbon fibre heater & light pods. (probably wouldn't crack like plastic either lol) A carbon auto leaver surround. Carbon door handle surrounds. A carbon steering column cover. Already a carbon stereo surround can be had from Japan, and am I right in thinking you can already get window switch surrounds in carbon? If these were made for a reasonable price, with pretty much a set to do all of the major items I think there would be lo…

Hi guys, further to my problems with a non existent idle (probably due mainly to an over rich AFR), a thought has ocurred. Does removing the Aircon and cutting the lines cause an issue with the function of the IAA unit?? Does the ECU simply detect the drop in revs and then use the IAA to compensate or is it something more complicated (a signal from the aircon system for example)? TIA RobH

After 3 months since the paint project started, we finally have the "almost finished Z" back home...As you will see, the Z needs spoiler (we're making a new design), side markers and turn signals to be finished on the outside, but we couldn't wait any longer because there were lots of emails asking about the Z and new body kit, besides we both were impatient to show the finished products too...We can finally say that we have the look we've been looking to have on our Z all these years...Well, wide rear arches, rear diffuser and some nice 18" wheels are still on the plans to be completely satisfied with the looks someday, but this is pretty good for a while at least. …

need some advice on whether to sell or not !!!! will fitting an avc-r & running at 14.5 boost make much difference to stock boost, and do i keep & fit my autometer nexus guages or not, these are probably the best money can buy. what you think ? or do i just leave everything stock.

Was going to fill new coolant on the new engine when we discovered that there was a water leak from back of the engine just above the left turbo. I got trouble seeing anything frome where it might come from? It seems to be from somewhere above the downpipe with the turbo?? help apriciated:)

I have a stillen GTZ-R bumper going onto my UK spec Z. I am replacing the lights that are mounted on the stillen bumper as they are cracked and was going to get rid of the front fog lights and replace with carbon fibre ducts. I have done a quick search and have been confused as to whether front fogs are required for an mot? Also, will need to replace the sidelight/indicator cluster, looking for a crystal clear cluster, what ones do you suggest? Ebay? Any others?

Hello all..i've noticed recently that my UK auto gearbox keeps down shifting for no reason at all. It started off every now and then but I had a long 3hr drive last night up the M6 and if I hold the revs around 3k, every 15-20secs or so it would shift down not one, but two gears! Bloody annoying as at around 70/80 it just doesn't sound or feel healthy! If I hold the revs, it soon shifts back but again, after a while, bumps down a few gears! Especially annoying if its in cruise but I can control it slightly when foot on the pedal as lift off each time it starts but gets very tiring doing that 4times a mionute for 3hrs!! So...what could it be? I'm not mechanically mind…

I'm a new member and also new to owning a 300zx after owning a 350z. As the 300zx is less well known to general mechanics and I have heard even Nissan main dealers! does anyone have any recomendations for mechanics and/or tuners near Brighton? I do a lot of work myself with cars, but my clutch is on the way out and seem to have no spare time at the mo!

My car has failed its MOT with excessive play in the front lower ball joint at the hub end of the lower transfer link (not the only thing). This bit Does anyone know whether this is going to require a whole new transverse link, or just the ball seat? Also does anyone know the part numbers (or where I can get either of them from)? cheers JK

Has anybody got any pictures of the inside of a standard ECU and a Chipped ECU?. Mines supposed to be chipped, but I dont think it is. As above, new 555 Nismo injectors, does not smoke rattle or knock, uses no oil or water, new cam belt and water pump 3k mles ago, engine done about 90 thousand kilometers. From a 92 SWB Manual. Would be sold complete and could be heard and even driven. Might also want to sell my manual box with hd clutch and Fidanza ally flywheel Fancy an RB engine in my Z, Just looking for a ball park figure to do some sums.. Thanks

Got a nice delivery from the nice people of FedEx yesterday :D Alot of obvious bits, but the smaller bits in there are a Braided clutch line, new clutch bearing, pivot ball, pilot bushing, Rad mounts and 02 sensors Hard pipes with BOV mounts HKS SSQV Bovs Z1 Steel Flywheel (only weighs 10.7lbs!) RPS Street Max Clutch AMS Rad Divorced Downpipes and De-cats Also got a load of gaskets,PCV pipes etc for the plenum (which is now polished) and a few other bits and bobs, And its all got to be fitted by Sunday :nelson:
