Hello again all.. I have been having trouble with my PTU connections. However instead of trying to source new series 1 connectors im thunking of replacing the PTU with a series 2 and hard wiring the harness adapter... Where us the cheapest place to get a harness from? I called nissan UK and they say they dont do one... I have found one in america on z1 website but i am unsure if i would get hit with customs charges etc. Any help? TY

My car has a nistune board fitted and has the option for flex fuel enabled. Can someone clever please tell me exactly what this is for and what it will do for me if I buy the ethanol sensor and loom. Thanks Sayers

Well, after almost a year after acquiring my first Z and trying desperately to get her on the road, she's all MOT'd, taxed and insured and I made my first show last night..Jap Night at Squires Cafe (Leeds). It's been an emotional roller coaster with seized engines (TT conversion done courtesy of Lee Dent), and drilling out and re-welding panels to name but a few, so such a chuffin' relief to get there! The journey is still not over (obviously, it's a 20odd year old car!), but from what I can tell, the work needed in the foreseeable will be more manageable. Hi all, just got a set of refurbed staggered deep dish rims, wondered what the inside and outside diameters of Z32 centre caps were. The caps with the rims are 50mm inside diam. Cheers.

Hi wonder if anyone can help I brought some poly bushes for rear drop links but I only got the bushes x8 .so I brought some cheap rear droplinks off eBay which were listed as 300zx .But the nuts bottom out before bushes get compressed I'm thinking the tube is too small its 35mm long does anyone know if this tube should be longer or have I got the wrong droplinks thanks .

Whizzed through everything else. Question. Will the ones advertised above fit a 1998 JDM TT? MPN SPF2492K Reference OE/OEM Number 5445-71L00, 5444-35F00 Never lists the 98 models but I'm guessing its the same as the 95 specs? Gotta get these brought and fitted in the next 10 days or cost of another re-test..... ;-( Plus I am itching to drive her...... again.....and again....

Hi all. I was at japshow at the weekend and the 300 was running great. I turned the engine off and went for a look around. I come back and start the car and its missing on one cylinder. I have located the cylinder and swapped plugs and coil packs over and it is still missing on the same cylinder. The spark plug is wet so im assuming the injector is ok. So all I have left is the wiring to the injector or a compression issue. (Really hoping its not a compression issue) Any ideas? any more I can do to check things? What sort of multimeter readings should I get off the wiring to the coil pack? I dont have a multimeter yet so if any other ways …

Hi All, those of you that don't know me, I have Purple Haze a JDM 1998 TT LWB Auto 140000Klicks (87K miles) on the clock. I am about to renew my insurance and have no idea what the value is today? I know what I paid for her last year, what work I have done, Mongoose Cat Backs, HID replacement, Waxoiled, new boots and Serviced but what do I insure her for? Would appreciate any advice chaps, Footman wanted another 50 odd quid over last year and Lancaster seem to have come good when I said 8K value and 3K miles per year, BUT is 8K right. Hi All! Is there anywhere that sells the rubber trim/seal that fit around the glass windows behind the drivers head? Or the rubber trim which seals against the drivers and passengers Windows? Mine are a bit shabby and I'm concerned about water ingress into the doors and bodywork around the Windows, the boot windscreen is letting in a bit of water which settles and runs out of the plastic boot lid interior when it is raised, I left the car out in some heavy rain this weekend to try and find any leaks and there appears to be a couple haha, one from the passengers T top and the other the boot as described Anything available or any solutions known ? Picked up my first 300zx this afternoon! A Japanese import twin turbo automatic with 86,000 miles on the clock, driven her home, around a 40 min trip and all well so far! Having got her back I've noticed a few things , I can't seem to adjust the fan speed for some reason when it's coming out of the dashboard vents, I get a yellow power light flash at me on startup and I don't appear to have any dial backlighting. When nearly home I'd did open her up a couple of times (couldn't resist!) and I think I caused a minor coolant leak from the radiator area which has stopped now the car has cooled and seems to be holding coolant when I popped off to the shops in it earlier, very …

I love buying new OEM stuff, even when I don't know quite what it is! I'm due to replace my dash soon as I have found a replacement in near-pristine condition. Mine is ok, but this new one is VERY good. As a result, I thought it high time to replace the AC/hazard carcass and the screws. Whilst I was looking at the parts on F.A.S.T, I noticed another part 25267-40P10 which I assumed mine 'should' have. I don't know what it is, so I just ordered it anyway. Does anyone know what it's for? I can't quite work it out. I'm picking it up from Z1 when I fly over there in a couple of weeks so don't have it with me to 'try'.

I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are. What would it take to effectively change a S1 car into a S2 car. Would it just be a straight swap of the interior?

I'm picking up a 300ZX Turbo auto on Friday, I had a few insurance quotes lined to and have just attempted to purchase the best one but they did not seem to be able to process the quote, I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that the cars is an import ? Admiral gave me the best quote at £880 , being 21 I struggle getting classic policy's so I'm having to go with a mainstream insurer, Anyone encountered this before or can offer any advice ?
