My dash has all curled up due to heat damage right where the demister vents are next to the screen. Is this common? And do people generally need a new dash? I can't think of a way to fix it without replacing it Jake

I was going to wait until the whole project was finished before i write this up, but i find myself with time to kill. I have had my zed for a bit over a year now and have done a couple modifications to it: HICAS Delete Larger SMICs Larger Radiator but the one thing that really bugged me the whole time was the style of the car. this was mainly down to a mismatched paint job and this summer i set about rectifying this. These are pictures from the first day i bought the car:

  3. I'm out with the Z1 guys for Znationals. Today is track day at Road Atlanta raceway near Atlanta Georgia. This is my 4th trip to this event and it doesn't dissapoint. Tomorrow is car-show day at Cool-Ray Field and yours truly is one of the judges! Only 1 photo for now, will add to this when the connection is a little better.

  4. Gents does anyone have any pictures of the rear arch repair panels that are on ebay and zcenter I want to do mine but would like to see what is involved, so if there are any pictures of the work being done welded in ect and cutting would be greatly appreciated :)

How nice is this convertible and the condition is top drawer. Most of us may not be fans of the convertible 300zx but this looks good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300-ZX-3-0-MANUAL-CONVERTIBLE-LOW-MILES-HIGH-SPEC-EXCEPTIONAL-/172372811514?hash=item2822385efa:g:ov0AAOSwzaJX~ngN

Ok, so over the winter I'm looking at dropping the rear subframe and fitting new bushes, checking the brakes line etc and re coating the Underside with Dinitrol again. Whilst doing this I am going to take the rear bumper off, check everything else out. Now the Zenon and Demon rear bumperthat are made for the wide arch kit, from Zed Centre I think look very dated now, and I am thinking of changing the look of the rear. I think that the tailpipes could be larger, and look at little lost on the current setup Trouble is with having the wide arse kit, fitting a new bumper will not blend in with the rear wing fillers. Now I'm sure that a good body shop will be able t…

Hello, I'm new to the forum so bare with me as not that sure if I'm in right section. Basically does anyone know where I might be able to get the universal joints for the prop shaft? Am I best going to breakers or are there specialists etc? Don't want to have to buy the whole prop shaft unless there's anyone on here who has one at a decent price. Cheers!

My TT runs perfectly under most conditions, but it can be quite lumpy under very light throttle. It's basically when the throttle is barely touched, like while maintaining 20 mph, or accelerating really slowly in traffic. If you press it a couple of extra millimeters, it runs fine and it's perfect when driven hard. Has anyone got any suggestions?

  9. Started by Evaansss,

Okay so had a report back from the body shop saying that apparently the larger SMICs I have are causing the fresh paint to crack? Although I'm nearly 100% sure they weren't touching the bumper when it went in there. I'm not with the car so I can't clarify but has anyone heard of/had any issues of this nature?

Okay , so been thinking about installation of traction control over the last few days, Now ideally I would prefer a Racelogic system, But if i cannot locate one at a sensible price what alternatives do I have, Is it possible to use an OEM system from another Nissan and graft it into the loom , much in the same way as a Racelogic would need, Anybody clever out there with some sensible thoughts on this Thanks Sayers

Hey guys, as most of you are aware, I swapped out my TT diff for an NA one. Unfortunately, I got sent a TT flange, I've found someone who will make up a 1 piece propshaft here in Ireland for a reasonable price with a 2-3 hour turnaround. If I bring the TT half and the NA half together with the TT flange on it, is this the correct length?? or is the NA flange longer/shorter/same length as the TT flange?? Thanks

Hi folks I have never been in a SWB, I was wondering what the situation is with legroom. I'm 6'5" and just about comfy in a LWB. Is the legroom the same in a SWB?

Guys, realise you can't reply here but if anyone can PM me and help, much appreciated. I've been out to take pics of my interior on my grey swb this morning and locked the only set of keys (I know I know, been meaning to cut a spare for ages) in the back. It's a slicktop swb so no chance of replacing a targa! Other than a tin opener, I know there were some tips years ago so if anyone can pm me I'd appreciate it. Normally I'd call Jeff, but, well as those older members will know the knowledge base is a little thinner on the ground these days.

Just got my zEd back from automodz and it drove superbly, Mark waved his magic wand and saved me big expense. Seems the turbos were OK he had exhaust and off camera up to look at state of turbo and they were fine, when he opened up the exhaust system and low and behold lots and lots of old cat cleare5d this all out and hey presto. Seems exhaust was clogged up and noise around turbo has gone. Also he fitted a nice new aluminium prop shaft for me. And good price too. Thanks Mark and co, job well done.

Well, what can i say, i'm buzzing to finally be back in a Zed!, albeit an N/A, but its a manual and i LOVE it!, i've had a twin turbo zed for several years, but it had engine problems/overheating quite some time ago and long story short i lost heart/interest with it, and it's sat in the back of my garage for years,(didnt have the heart to sell it though) so i'm determined to make a start to getting it back to its former glory....i just needed a little push! inspiration, most people would probably think that i should've used the money to fix my turbo....but you can't have too many zeds right?? so that being said for my 35th birthday i've treated myself to this :biggri…
