I have a spare sub frame that I'm going to get powder coated and swap the bushes out for new Poly ones. Looking at the various "How to's" on the subject. would those of you who have done this recommend getting the new poly bushes that come with the outer sleeve, like these form CZP? https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-subframe-sleeve-kit-w-energy-suspension-bushings-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-55400-74102_p_3146.php It sounds like the worst part is actually cleaning the left over rubber off the outer sleeve, once the inner sleeve and rubber goo has been removed. (I was going to burn them out, as per the many videos on the net show) As an aside, has anyone here a…

Check this out on ebay 131975023954 TT Engine ..... This engine was running about 330 bhp and had good delivery -....... - occasionally under heavy boost it popped the dipstick was a good running engine Isn't that a sign of something serious. Pessurising the crank ?

Making the presumption that 2k is a superior paint I was wondering if it's possible to get a colour originally produced in cellulose, in 2k form?

Hi guys, since the CAM belt has been done the main engine fan is always on...when I start the car its on and when its warm its on, it never stops. Anyone have any ideas for this new problem.... Thanks in advance.

  7. Last week when I went down the parking garage I noticed 2 small tiny dents on my Z left drive door. that really frustrated my whole damn evening. Wanting to keep the Z stunning and clean some fu** a*+hole always has to ruin the cake. Anyhow, I asked the body shop abut how much it would cost to get them done and he said about 175 euros---but he also pointed out that if he re paints that door it usually never looks the same tone of colour when you look it closely on a sunny day. He just wanted to warn me about it. He also pointed out to re spray the whole car someday, but...man he charges 1.700 euros for the whole job including having to remove the rear spoiler etc etc…

As above really, just curious as to the main function/functions of the PTU. Is its main and only function the distribution of the power to the individual coil pack? or does it influence more than just this? Just asking, as I have recently discovered the bottom connection quite corroded, and have since cleaned all male and female connectors and re fitted. Could I anticipate any subtle difference in performance or daily driving etc for example?

A very common fault and if you want a new latch then it's £60 plus postage from the USA. So here is how I fixed mine. The plastic housing that holds the pin and spring breaks leaving the glove box unable to stay closed. The first job was to get a length of 6mm acrylic rod then drill a 2.5mm hole in it. This will hold the pin for the spring. Then using a round file I filed a grove where the acrylic pin holder would sit.

Gumtree link An interesting advert, to say the least... I had no idea that the LWB model was such a rarity in the Z32 world! Now, my Zed's no slouch, but I know for a fact that it WON'T keep up with an Audi R8 - I tried, believe me... Fairly local to me, this one.

Hi all, been looking around for a while and decided to bite the bullet and just ask.... I am having low pressure issues in terms of when cold shows correct temp and then drops to 0 ish when warmed up. I have seen on here that you could try changing the sensor. Not being incredibly good at the mechanical stuff I cannot find a definitive image of what one looks like when out and on a table in front of me OR where abouts it is. I could also do with a bit of info on mechanical checking of the oil pressure. An idiots guide or image with a big damn arrow would be great too!! I know its a lot to ask but I will make it up to you all by attending a few meets when this badass…

  13. Just stumbled across this ebook and thought it was a very interesting development including some concept sketches and design development (even one idea of an r32 front ended Z) How the VQ from the infiniti and the VH45 were considered before setteling from the V6 that more natually progressed from the previous generation. Here is is With the Z32 stuff about 4/5 of the way down in the Fourth Generation. I'm sure some of you have seen it but I thought it was very interesting.

So, following my recent unfortunate incident, I'm looking for a new shell. Ideally I wanted a series 2 car as that's what I currently have. Anyway, finding a good series 2 car seemed stupidly hard, so I'm going to go get a series one car. Anyway, given I'm going to be getting a rolling shell, I'm going to need to move everything over. Wiring loom, engine, gearbox and pedals, interior (S2 into a S1 car) including the electrics. My problem is that I'll be doing everything on my drive. How hard of a job is this going to be? I think I'm mainly worries about moving the engine and gearbox as I've never done anything like this before. Is there a specific order I …

  15. Ok, I'm considering fitting tyres (from Ebay) myself by hand. I've watched Youtube videos, and it looks simple enough using a pry bar or crow bar, some tyre lube stuff etc. Maybe they're just making it look easy... I don't want to ruin my new virgin rims. Just wondered if anyone had fitted their own tyres in a similar way and had any advice? Cheers!

I have an interesting problem. When I start the car everything works good. After a few miles of driving, suddenly the steering servo starts to work really hard, as it dissapeared, and after that HICAS lights up. Every time is the same story, no matter how many times I start the car, even the engine is warm. What can be the problem? Thanks

hello all. So I have a 94 imported zed and have always had this fob sat in a drawer which didn't seem to work... Now I learn it is part of teh factory supplied keyless entry system. Any ideas on how I can test it and get it working?... presuming first step is replace battery as it seems dead as a dodo right now. The instructions says insert and remove teh key 6 times in under 10 seconds to go into settings mode, does this mean literally just inserting and removing the key from ignition?

I have a 1990 JDM TT Auto....I understand that many on this forum don't like the Auto and some even 'look down' on it...which is fine....But I actively sort out an Auto version when I decided to buy the only Z car I hadn't owned.... as that's what I usually drive...(However if I were looking to purchase another Z32....based on perception, resale values and most importantly how many miles I actually do in my Zed....I would probably look for a manual ) Anyway...I have an Auto.... and I like the car and can't see me getting rid of it anytime soon...but the look of the Auto shifter has always offended me!....it's 'tall' proportions look decidedly old fashioned comp…
