I am thinking of buying an aftermarket induction kit for my Z, it is a manual twin turbo with bov`s installed. If I go for the two mushroom filter set-up what sort of difference to performance and sound will it make, if any? will the bov`s become louder? cheers, Dan

Hey all My car is finally back, serviced and fettled by Jeff at Zedworld. I have to say that it is now awesome and hugely fun to drive. It has never run or sounded so good. :nana2: I had made the mistake of thinking that it was too far to drive to Tamworth and so have taken it to a local garage for the last 2 years. They have cost me a lot of money and managed to make my car run like a dog and almost destroy the engine. :slap: It is now transformed care of Jeff and I will not be taking it to anyone else ever again! The service has been exceptional and you will not find better IMHO anywhere else. I cannot recommend Zedworld highly enough. A huge …

Today i fitted a new thermostat and while doing so i noticed this: When i bypassed the hicas and relooped the pipe i must have moved it slightly towards the PS pump whoops, ive done a quick fix and cable tied it back. Close one hey  Would of made a right ol mess down there. Its only cut through the outer protecting foam and into the rubber slightly, not made it to the core thank god. So i suppose anyone who has done they same just have a little check.

My suspension is good and firm, but the rubber covers on the shockabsorber are all to bits. Can this be a problem come MOT in April. Can they be replaced and where would I get them.

Had a phonecall from the engineering shop yesterday that went a little bit like this: "Mr Tandy?" "Is that Bob?" "It is, just ringing to say the heads and flywheel are all done" "What about the block?" "Umm i don't know how to tell you this but you know you wanted it overbored?" "Yup" "It was already overbored by 40thou" "Great so you don't need to do anything?" "Um nope it's scrap" "Huh?" "It's so badly scorched and scratched under the protective layer of grease you should just chuck it and get another block" "F*****SSSSHHH******TTT****" :headvswal So spent the rest of the afternoon desperately ringing ever…

When putting everything back together after changing my handbrake warning light bulb I think I wired the aftermarket switch for the rear fogs up wrong. Now the front fogs don't work either :headvswal I've wired the rear fog switch up correctly now and checked the foglight fuse but the front and rear fogs refuse to work. The fog relay doesn't click. The rear fog lights seem to take their power from the front fog switch. Any ideas what I might have done? Cheers, James

Having fitted the re-painted bumpers, washed the car and the sun coming out - went for a spin across the Black Mountains to Llandovery (Bikers Cafe) to meet up with an old friend. Almost forgotten how good it feels to straighten out all the twisty bits that Satan builds into the de-restricted sections of the Queens Highway!! It was awesome. On the downwards slope I happened across a Clio that was poodling along - til he saw the Zed filling his mirrrors. He then adopted the usual 'I'll show you stance' and was making a Dogs Breakfast of many bends - at one point he slowed and waved me past - but I didn't want to pass - it was too entertaining watching him …

Hi, During the process of changing/looking at new O2 sensors I found this - might help someone else so... I have not tried this yet - but according to Lucas - should work for all Zirconia sensors. The document is here: http://www.lucaselectrical.co.uk/catalogues/LucasLamdaXCB462_Full.pdf Here is a précis of the test.. Lambda sensors, unlike other types of sensor fitted to an engine, have an optimum performance life cycle, which generally lasts about 45 000 to 60 000 thousand miles. The decrease in performance happens gradually to a point where the sensor will become tired or lazy. The sensor still works but the reaction times are slow. Reg…

Hi everyone :) I have just removed the headlights from my Z ... OMG THAT was fun...My knuckles look like corned beef! One of them had let in a little moisture (hence the removal), so I have done the hair-dryer trick and got the glass off and removed the grey plastic tray. No problem with that...However, the reflector dish behind the projector lens really needs cleaning. It is seriously mucky, and I would really like to take it out and give it a proper clean, rather than just dab at it with a cotton-ball on a stick, but I just can't figure out how to get the little ****er out! Anyone know how to do it? Cheers! :)
