Hi, folks I have taken the headlights out of my Z (horrible job!), and I have fully dismantled them. The reflective cones behind the projector beam assembly are beyond cleaning - the silver has deteriorated beyond redemption. I have found several spray-paints that have a silver mirror finish, but won't take more than 50 degrees C. Does anyone know of a spray-paint that will re-silver them convincingly AND take the heat? Or has anyone got a set of cones? ....please don't make me use ice-cream cones lined with baking-foil...! :)

Is there a common reason why the headlight washers would not work (UK car)? The normal windscreen wash jets work fine. If I press the headlight washer button with the lights off I get absolutely nothing. If I press it with the headlights on, I get the click of a relay and the windscreen wipers go, but nothing from the headlight washers, no noise of a pump or anything. Any idea where I should look first? I know they're hardly important, but I'm the kind of person that likes a car where everything works that's meant to work! Thanks, Phill

While the car is warming up and im coming to a junction, the car feels like something is making it slow down a lot faster. Say the revs are at 2.5K and i let off, it feels like something is pulling it down. It doesn't stall or anything i was just wondering what it is that is doing it? Once its heated up its fine. Thanks for looking :D

the o rings that go in between the two halves of the caliper appear to be literally impossible to get hold of, they dont come with the refurb kit from nissan and they dont come with the kit from ebay - you cant buy them seperatly from nissan or ebay and you cant use rubber 'doughnut' style o rings as they will perrish due to the corrosive nature of brake fluid..........sooooo iv been doing a massive amount of digging and iv found a place called 'manchester seals' that is willing to make 100 for £30.... well i want these seals but i dunno what im gonna do with the rest.......prefer to selll them on here if anyone knows where i can get them from please please let me kn…

With the mods I'm looking at doing, wiseco pistons, eagle conrods, 555/740 injectors, gt28r tubs etc. I not sure what air filter setup to go for. Not sure when the MAF max's out? So would it be worth waiting till all the work is done set up etc and see if the MAF is holding it back or do you think I would need a doolz or a JWT duel intake? Could you run a single MAF on a JWT duel intake? If I went for this I would need to change the chip to supoort this too. I have tried researching and i'm getting a little confused? Any help would be great. Thanks, Ant

Hey all My car is finally back, serviced and fettled by Jeff at Zedworld. I have to say that it is now awesome and hugely fun to drive. It has never run or sounded so good. :nana2: I had made the mistake of thinking that it was too far to drive to Tamworth and so have taken it to a local garage for the last 2 years. They have cost me a lot of money and managed to make my car run like a dog and almost destroy the engine. :slap: It is now transformed care of Jeff and I will not be taking it to anyone else ever again! The service has been exceptional and you will not find better IMHO anywhere else. I cannot recommend Zedworld highly enough. A huge …

  24. Today i fitted a new thermostat and while doing so i noticed this: When i bypassed the hicas and relooped the pipe i must have moved it slightly towards the PS pump whoops, ive done a quick fix and cable tied it back. Close one hey  Would of made a right ol mess down there. Its only cut through the outer protecting foam and into the rubber slightly, not made it to the core thank god. So i suppose anyone who has done they same just have a little check.

My suspension is good and firm, but the rubber covers on the shockabsorber are all to bits. Can this be a problem come MOT in April. Can they be replaced and where would I get them.
