Newbies - let yourselves be known

Whats up, I bought my 300 around 3 months ago now, going to need some work put into it so i figured i better sign up and camp out in the advice section.

Good afternoon, guys and gals. I'm Stephen, and I will "officially" become an adult at the end of this month. I've decided to join here as I've pretty much made my mind up on what my first car is going to be - go on, have a guess :P However, I'm not planning to buy a 300ZX just yet, as I'm still waiting for my provisional license and I want to learn driving in a basic car first, before I can move up a gear (no pun intended). Just a quick hello to everyone! I've been a member of driftworks for a while and have always been in to s14's and s'13s etc.. but now I've moved on to the idea of buying a 300zx. As i'm here, I just want to know any helpful hints on whats to look out for when looking at buying a 300? I'm serious in buying and now looking for the right one. Thanks in advance! Luke

Hi all, Just got hold of my second 300zx. First one was a non turbo and didnt really at the time get quite what they were or could become so i pretty much ruined it :( but now i have 300zx twin turbo jdm thats been slightly modded. I am hoping people on here will be able to gi e me impartial advice as to where to go next with it or how to go about it. Jay

Hi just thought i would join as i have just bought my first zx and the service history had loads of your stuff from here. ALso it has a one piece back panel i hate so if anyone wants to trade their rear lights and centre panel for a complete back panel i may be up for a deal lol hopefully someone will know the history of this car as its had loads done to it its dark blue very wide body on it and its an M plate

Hi all, I've very recently come by a 'J' Reg. 300 ZX 3.00 Targa non-turbo which, I'm embarrassed to say, is a car I know nothing about apart from looking it up on Wiki. plus reading some of the threads on this forum. It's been stored for at least 4/5 years but has had some work done over this time such as new leather (?) seats with the 300ZX logo on them, the rear spoiler has been replaced as per original, Cobra alarm/imobiliser installed, good tyres plus some various other bits and pieces. There's also the bags for the targa glass roof in the boot but the downside is a rusty patch on one wing. The mileage is showing just under 50,000 miles/kilometres, don't k…

After having the car for over 5 months I was recommended to join the forum by lee norton, who has been a massive help trying to figure out this misfire problem. Again I can't thank you enough lee! Anyway it's a 93' factory manual twin turbo 2+2 import. I'm on the look out for 555cc injectors or similar if anyone has some for sale. Cheers Callum

Hi Just wanted to register / post / re-initiate contact with the old club. I am a 3000GT owner now here come the jibes.... :) But I miss my Zed so much. Nothing like the rear wheel drive mayhem of the Zed and that was just the NA I owned! Listen I'm not going to join or defile your pure 300ZX boards anymore than is necessary. So here goes. Basically is anyone going to Santa Pod for Japfest Finale? And Im trying to get a few 3000GT / GTO's together for maybe a little tet a tet?? Recently parted with my 260z and 280zx, which were gathering rust in the garage. Had a few quid in my pocket and couldn't resist a local Nissan 300zx Fairlady 2+2 non turbo. Must have been kharma!! Body is pretty sound but paint requires respray. Already used and abused the forum for info on little bits and pieces! I am just outside of Wigan if anyone is local!

A red 1990 LWB TT Manual, probably as good as it gets. Has a rebuilt 31k miles engine by Lee Dent as much as i am aware. Well more like Hallowe'en actually, as after 7 years without a Zed in my life and two months scouring auctions I've finally managed to bag myself a nice black Series 4 TT which should be arriving in blighty mid-late October! I used to have a red 1990 TT (now departed to the land of Optimax and Momentum) but I always loved Zeds in black so I'm now counting the days. Hi, I'm new to this site and have finally got the z i have always dreamt of. I believe i got it for a good price although it is in need of a lot of work. Once i have been to Rom in a few weeks the fun will begin. I will obtain an MOT and start work on her. I bought an import so the first job i did was clean and underseal as much of the junderside possible (until i run out of underseal) . The top result is that it has only 44000 on the clock. Hello folks. I have just purchased myself a 300zx 1990 n/a auto. This beast cost me £425. As it is cat C, rusted to hell, no Mot / tax.... You get the idea, its a dog. But only for the moment as in 2015 it will be entered into Rust2Rome! So it will need work! Our project is called "Ragnum P.I" as its a red t top but no where near a ferrari!
