Very true mate, i don't know how either but it happens! My prev cars i've sold, after many $0000 pounds spent and loving hours put into them, I have been gutted to get rid, sometimes darn upset. I love me Z its probably sad as ****, but even that time I went to get rid and sell all the bits (you may or may not remember the post) I just couldnt do it in the end, and had to fix her up!!! It seems to grab me by the strings mate and tug, its a ****ing lovely car, and I just cant seem to go against it now no matter what!

All cars smell a bit, especially on start up! all my prev turbo cars have smelt like walnuts lmfao! The heater will always pull through smells from the engine, especially in big engines like the Z. If it smells fousty then it could well be coolant (or aircon? especially on recirc), burnt smell (plastic or toxic), brakes or oil, a petrol smell could be lines above plenum they are well old and can crack a little,

I had me Z a while now, after passing the selling phase, I decided im keeping it no matter what! It's worth more to me than cash, TBH anything under 7k IMHO would be giving it away compared to what it is worth to me! I decided, going to upgrade the Accord to a newer model, get a new toy also and keep the Z forever as a class car, never gonna part with it! People who throw their Z's in for a few grand, well if you got a goodun, it just aint worth it! I mean whats a few k? a new TV or stereo FFS! thats all!

Lands end is cool apart from the cheesy show (everlasting lightbulbs and the whole boat/getting wet show) ITs cool down that way, I always find its really chilled as I've got a lot of relatives in that area! Hope you had a top time mate!!!!! Steve

Me and the missus been trying to get a nice new house for ages, but, we lost out on two houses (both owners pulled out at last minute) and lost a fait few grand in the process (local search sol fees etc). I thought a while ago about selling the Z to make up the cash we lost but, decided against it. So, how valuable is your Z, I must admit, having my daughter grow up in a better area etc means more to me than the Z, but it still holds its own in situations like this? So, how close have you come to selling and why, and how come you still have it???? I couldnt part with mine as it seems like part of the family!

I love the auto but must say, there are times when you do want a bit more control over the gear your in, that is something Japs are good for (quick where is the uk v jap thread!) I admit, they have the power and lock up modes dont they which IMHO is better gives you more control over the box. Other than that, 1st and 2nd gear are corkers hehe

Before owning my Z I would have been one tracked and said all autos are shit, I hated every other I drove and never thought I would own one. Yet a friend of mine had an Auto Z, and after driving it a few times I loved it! and got one! Have all the manual owners actually driven an auto properly? or do they just asume its shit based on my previous biased opinion by not having driven an auto Z?

Cause mine was broke, and I thought it looked better (with the fan colour coded etc), also easier to get to the front of the engine, and as I replaced the rad pipes, cooling pipes to the head (and rubber hoses) and water pump etc, it made it easier to monitor for any leaks.
