FFS, I asked the nissan garage when I removed it as I was unsure to the effect on cooling (after the thread on here I posted), the guy said that the viscous on Z's arnt mounted close enough or designed to suck air through like normal leccy rad fans, but instead to stop hot air from staying around the rad, he said the one on the front sucks air and the viscous blows air? I thought it sounded odd doing the oposite to the direction in which your travelling! Last time I listen to F**Hbrothers!

I recon its a dodgy switch, probably lost the connection on the door pin. Does you int light stay on also if you put it on the open setting?, if so, I would 99% say dodgy door pin. Whip the screw out and have a look (youll ned to unclip the interior plastic trim on the inside a little to get to it, but you dont need to remove it)

?? Removed fan shroud about three months ago, no probs at all on a hot day or sat in traffic? Took her our for a hard drive the other night, was mild evening, was out for a few hors all fine! Also took a 2-3 hour drive to billing non-stop in the hot weather, temp needle didnt move. I think Smithy has had no fan shroud for years also, seems odd mate, you sure its not something else? air lock or something in the cooling system? The travelling thing is odd, cause the viscous blows air on to the rad but when your moving, the air moving through the front cond/rad at say 80mph + will really mean that the air from the viscous will probably not even get to the rad that much anyway? I've more recently (last week) cut holes in my bonnet to aid cooling anyway as I was borred. Without the fan shroud it seems to help circulate the hot air straight out the vents. I turned my car off at the pet station to fill up the other day, and the temp went from normal to a quater in five mins lol!

lol, I would stick it out and not go lower than 6.5k mate. Someone on here recently sold a pretty stock import (other than ice and wheels / zorst etc) and it was mint, got around 6.5k for it. A friend of mine just bought one for around 6.5k also. There are a lot of shite heaps out there atm, most of the ones under 4k on auto trader are fooked. So I would bide your time and not give it away.

Yup RAC do a similar service too, my missus had a fairly large chip on her windscreen and they filled it, looked spot on! Best of all like you say free and doesnt effect your no claims!!! dont often get much for nowt do you? (well I guess we do pay thousands in insurance lol on second thought lol)

Always fill all me cars upside down. The rubber rest against the top and it fills fine, never stops on any car ive done that with.

Yeh I think this is only realy nessasary for flooring it a lot or especially if running more horsies. Although Bigger cant hurt even if people only still run stock. And yeh I've had enough of making enemies Si ;)

Again salt doesnt rot the paint only if it chips the paint it gets the metal, and 90% of the underside of the car is covered in plastic guards anyway! it does happen that I have had the plastic off while doing mechanical repairs and re-undersealed it. AFAIK uk cars are all undersealed anyways. It just boils down to how the car has been looked after.
