Me and the missus been trying to get a nice new house for ages, but, we lost out on two houses (both owners pulled out at last minute) and lost a fait few grand in the process (local search sol fees etc). I thought a while ago about selling the Z to make up the cash we lost but, decided against it.

So, how valuable is your Z, I must admit, having my daughter grow up in a better area etc means more to me than the Z, but it still holds its own in situations like this?

So, how close have you come to selling and why, and how come you still have it???? I couldnt part with mine as it seems like part of the family!

Dunno Ste, its just a Z thing.

Mine brakes, I get it fixed. Every bloody time. Each time something happens to it I think right thats it. eg: recently had a full rebuild which lasted a whole 800 miles costing over 2.5k. I thought right enough is enough, was only today when I costing up new pistons and tubs. Its an addiction mate and I dont think I could ever sweat this one out

Good points

Keeps me of the crack

Gets me away from her indoors

I dont know how I will feel about selling my Z. I too, will soon be looking for a house but I plan to keep the Z. It is my hobby and what is the point of working long hours if you dont have anything to enjoy. Plus, if the difference between affording a house and not affording a house is the cost of running a Z, then the budget of owning that house is too close to what I earn then. If you get what I mean.

But we are in completely different situations.

As Srrae said, will have to move to a bigger property soon, would

love to keep the Z, after all, its all bought & paid for, so it owes me

nothing. But then i look at the for sale prices & think ''whats the point in

selling up?'' I'm gonna loose £'s if i do. Quite happy to store it a my folks place if need be. I dunno about you guys, but i have to be ''involved''

in something, first it was motocross, then mountain bikes, then i went

self-employed (too many broken bones!). Now i'm into jap cars, this is my 3rd jap turbo car. If it wasn't for this site, it would be ''just a car'' but it seems to be part of the family now....much to my Mrs's disgust.

So i guess, if i had to sell up, it WOULD be last resort! :)

ive come very close to selling as lots of people on here know, mine was off the road for 8 months with a blown piston and i started on a mission to build a monster but as usual with zeds thw bills kept racking up and i ran out of money so very nearly and the only thing at one point that stopped me was the wife!!! :)

So i'm glad i carried on and fingers crossed on about a month the mechanical side will be finished :hyper:

I'm looking for a house with a double garage.

I won't be getting rid of mine after all the hard work and money I've spent. It's just not worth the loss :(. I have to keep it for life now

I'm looking for a house thats good for my z, is that strange?

Not at all Mike

I'm looking for a new house at present to be nearer to my new job, as I'm currently driving 50 miles a day in the ZX.

The new place must be Z-friendly so I always take a tape measure along to ensure the garage is wide enough for it. :D

Suprising how small some garages are..... :nono:

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
