Ash-Spec Inlet Manifold
As this 10 year research and development journey is drawing to a conclusion, is anyone taking the plunge and buying one in the initial group buy? http://www.ashspecz.com/shop/prodInfo2.php?prodID=91

2018 Club annual meet and AGM at Coventry
It’s looking very much like I’m going to miss this AGM [emoji17] I’ve had a niggle with my knee for the last couple of years that has been getting progressively worse. Physio didn’t fix it and there were no findings on any x-ray, ultrasound or MRI scans I’ve had so I have now had an arthroscopy! The surgery went well and I’m on the road to recovery but I’m not sure I’ll be in a position to safely drive on Saturday. Not only that, but my reduced mobility means getting the Z serviceable could be a challenge!

Meister coilover adjustment
It’s printed on the spring within the text. The number will be longer but part of it will be something like 220. I can’t remember exactly but 220 rings a bell. The preload is simply a measurement in mm from the top of the spring to the spring platform. So basically how compressed the spring is. In a normal setup these would be the same each side but if you were ever to get the car corner weighted, they would set each corner preload individually depending on the weight at that corner to balance the response of all 4.

Servicing
Haha Danny! You’ll get much the same answers on here my friend as Jimmer is held in very high regard in the community, his customers travel from all over Europe for his services! We’re literally minutes away from each other so feel free to pop round and I can plug it into the conzult for a diagnostic and give you a general idea on the state of play.

My terrible experience with trusting a so called club Importer to bring in a z32!
4K for the car in that condition sounds about right... in the UK with no extra fees! It’s good that it’s a structurally and mechanically sound base to work with but it’s unfortunate that’s it’s been at your cost to get that piece of mind. Chancing that it’ll be ok is simply not acceptable and the option has always been there for PowerZed to check over these cars when they arrive in the country. It’s essentially a project car with that utterly appalling attempt of painting the car which I liken to vandalism that would write the car off if you made an insurance claim! Several thousands of pounds need to be invested in the car to make it fit for the purpose that you (and many buyers) obviously want the cars for when buying them for good money. It was always clear that you were after a show car from your posts, you’ve paid decent money for the car and it seems the point where the hammer went down with your criteria was a failure point. Upon inspection in the UK, I’m surprised that Garry didn’t rehash a plan as his decision to pair that car with you and your criteria was not compatible. I don’t know what legal responsibility is on the guys that import cars this way but it does seem bizarre that they can supply a customer something which is clearly not in line with what they thought they were buying and just move on to the next with no liability?

That is shocking! I can’t believe anyone would bother the bid on such a car unless it was very cheap as it’s clear that it requires significant investment to bring it up to a presentable standard. Clearly that investment has not been put into the car so I would assume the resale price would reflect the condition. May I ask what you paid for the car?

Boost leak test?
Jeff, how certain are you that all of your customers cars that you charged up to your chosen pressure didn’t develop an oil leak? A latent defect introduced that was probably not discovered for a considerable amount of time, if at all.

Traders and MOT checking
It surprises me how many people will buy a car without doing the proper checks. New or old, people seem to put far too much trust in the sellers. There are a lot of good natured people in this world and it’s normally these people that naively fall into this sort of trap but it is so frustrating the amount of dishonest crooks around!

I like the idea of the Nissan Manual sections broken down into the technical forums. Each section could start with the actual contents of the manual, and then various tech posts etc can be added after it. Maybe have a seperate thread as a contents page. Further threads related to the same topic could be merged with existing ones to avoid reputition. Lots of work, time and effort to get started though which is always the downfall. I believe many owners would probably be unaware of the online manual so this would potentiallygive greater visibility whilst generating forum traffic. I’m currently in 2 minds as to whether this thread should be in a subscribed members forum or not!?

Things getting worse now on 5 cylinders...
By the way, if you have a problem with beavers in your garden eating the trees, spray WD40 around the base of the trunk and your problem is solved! This advise is actually part of the WD40 marketing for its application uses!

There’s nothing new about any of the WD formula on the shelves, except maybe the fancy “straw selector” or the fact it’s available in a non aerosol format! Should do the job fine though, just give it a few days. What tool are you using, the split socket with the drive in the top or the split socket with the drive at the side?

What did you do about that? Did you login to retain your membership? Now will you wait another 10 years before logging in again when you get the same email again? It’s probably still a good idea though, even if it’s sparks and interest in just one member to rekindle an old flame!

I bought used Bosch horns on eBay from a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, they weren’t expensive and are a massive improvement over stock.

WD will hopefully work for you but for this type of job, Plusgas is far superior as it is much thinner so can penetrate deeper. Always worth having a tin in your arsenal!
