  1. No worries matey, it's all related anyway so may help someone in a search one day. Got myself a dinitrol kit yesterday so I'll give the car a good cavity wax to get in all these little hotspots and then underseal.
  2. Happy birthday Paul, hope you're well :-)
  3. How about the nismo lmgt4 replicas? Rota gtr
  4. Bloody hell... Long since I saw your name on this forum chap, how the devil are ya?
  5. I reckon about £65 plus p&p ;-)
  6. Yeah so sod off!
  7. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=220780257163 :-)
  8. The ones to the intercoolers would be too small!
  9. That's where I'm looking. It's the reason I started the thread as I got access to that area to rust proof. It had some dirt in the bottom corner and down the seam on the inside so I thought I would ask if its supposed to be a drain path. I think it should be a sealed seam too but thought I'd double check. I can only assume the dirt is coming down from the fuel filler seal and has built up over the years.
  10. Indeed, some impressive work there matey. Could you shed some light as to whether the area has drain holes from manufacture?
  11. If you take off the interior boot plastic panels, either side you can see the inside face of the rear quarter. If you stick your head in the hole and shine a torch down you can see the seams where the rear quarter skin joins the inner arch skin and the structure inside the boot, all meeting in the bottom corner. From the outside, this is the bit behind the rear wheel, down the bottom, the little lip that collects all the dirt. Today I set about rust proofing inside this area when I noticed quite a bit of dirt inside especially in the bottom corner on the petrol filler side (lwb) where it has congregated, so I decided to clean it all to get it protected. When I was spraying my fast drying solvent cleaner I noticed it was fairly readily running out onto the floor, so this has led me to this question... Is anyone aware whether this bottom corner has a factory drain hole or is it supposed to be sealed off from the outside? I assume the dirt has come from a combination of dust, condensation and ingress through the fuel filler seal, also now possibly road dirt coming in. If it does have a factory drain hole, then what I'm using to rust proof will more than likely block it so I thought I'd check here first before I make a rear quarter aquarium! CheerZ (sorry for the big read)
  12. Take the spacers off and see if the vibrations stop?
  13. Could've been worse, he could've hit an unlit traffic island!
  14. Using the search seems to suggest that it's ok to do this but I thought I'd just check that 5mm spacers are ok without using longer studs or hub centric spacers?
  15. Welcome back matey... Although as your a returning I'm a little bit disappointed that you seem to have forgotten the rules... PICS!
  16. Do you think it could've elongated the hole in the arm?
  17. Yeah I thought as much. I may just get a used lower arm with a good joint/boot as they knurled up a few gouges on the edges where they clamped it. Thanks for the advice chaps.
  18. So today I set about changing this ball joint as I split the boot when changing the wheel bearing and as a replacement boot wasn't available I bought a new ball joint. I couldn't get the old girl out so I took the lower arm to a local car garage place where they kindly pressed it out and pressed the new one in. However, I didn't see them doing it but they told me that the ball joint started to split on its way in using the 10 ton press. I thought this a bit strange but left them to it after they assured me it will go in and will be fine. This is what it looks like, it's looks to me as if they have used a small drift where it has marked: In my line of work this would be scrap component but I'm not sure whether this is 'acceptable' or whether its possible it could pull through. I know it's tapered but as its split, could it have lost some strength? Another thing that made me wonder is that, from the top, you can see part of the splines, is that normal? See pic: Any advice welcomed, CheerZ.
  19. Nope, I got the highest score in pool... and it didn't save :shifty:
  20. I started using forum runner so I'm not 100% sure what the new ones look like! :-)
  21. In that case, you'll pass my way... Pop in for a cuppa :-)
