  1. If anyone does actually have a hub handy, can they please still measure it for Simon as I made that figure up and my conscience forced me to come clean thinking the ideal person had just disregarded Simon's post assuming he already had the answer from a fellow enthusiast!
  2. 112KPH. I do see your reasoning and its great that you're used to the way you do it. I think I would get frustrated having to mount my phone and open up an app before every journey in order to gauge my speed. I currently have no additional hardware mounted on the dash, when I connect my phone for Spotify, I connect it in the centre cubby console. Not a fan of additional dash mounted equipment. I've never considered a UK clock upgrade as a hassle, just a convenience translator!
  3. Put your claws away Gary [emoji13]
  4. Looks like a fancy auto shifter no?
  5. I haven't heard any horror stories about UK clocks causing issues other than basic mismatch wiring issues (for example in my case, the seatbelt illumination light was switched with the fog lamp warning on the dash. Quick fix though). The only real hurdle is to ensure you have the correct year clocks so the plug arrangement is correct.
  6. I fitted UK clocks because it's a neat OEM way of installing all of the dials in a language that I can understand. Plug and play! The speedo was the main driving force, I used my KPH speedo for a few years on my import and it bugged me eventually as I was always paranoid about exactly how fast I was going without having to think! Then there's the boost, when I'm reading that I'm boosting 7kg per cubic millimetre squared, all I really know is that the needle is pointing somewhere in the right direction! The final, quite bizarre reason, is that I think the UK clocks "look better". The speedo readings with MPH on the outside and KPH on the inside shows me something I'm used to. When converting and sticking a sticker over the KPH reading MPH, it doesn't look quite right to me. I am strange.
  7. Yes, they're curb markers and come on when you indicate. And yes, that 24 VALVE sticker has to come off, that's verging on worse than the white lettering on the tyres!
  8. They're also in pretty tatty condition!
  9. Arse... foot in mouth! Yours obviously wears it well as I haven't noticed that before. I do see your logic in the location.
  10. Thanks for sharing the pics [emoji106]
  11. You're biased with your UK spec! It wouldn't look right there without the plastic mount, as luck would have it, I have this "in hand" as one of my current projects. I've made a 3/4 size plate mount by cutting the middle out of a UK mount and rejoining it. I just need to paint it and I'll have a play around with the final location. Whilst I'm quite fond of the distinctive front plate location of a UK car, I think I prefer it slightly lower. I guess this has the added benefit of less airflow restriction to the intake. Agreed [emoji17] You know I regret my decision to assign the GB flag on the side. I need to order another one to get rid of that little beasty!
  12. Welcome to the club [emoji106]
  13. Snap. On a 3/4 size plate you can have the font, style and dimensions as per the DVLA display of registration markings regulation 14a and technically, be legal.

  15. Happy Birthday Matey.
  16. They are real, you can buy those beauties!
  17. I'm with Mondo on the interior, whilst I have reservations about the red, I think contrasting outers is not the way forward, I prefer a single colour scheme for the seats [emoji106] Regarding the bonnet struts, when the bonnet is being shut and or latched shut with the struts are fully retracted, do they seem to exert much pressure on the bonnet? I would worry that they could potentially deform the bonnet over time?
  18. It's a good job I won't be at Beaulieu then :p

  20. This is entirely OEM [emoji57]
  21. Haha  In all fairness, John first saw Simon's car at the NEC when it was parked next to mine. It was Simon's that caught his attention and interest so I'll stand down on that one :p
