  1. I know many of the Bedfordshire B roads quite well myself [emoji106] it's a lovely looking car [emoji41]
  2. I've used them quite a few times now and so far (touch wood) have not had any issues. I have heard lots of horror stories about them though, as I have about just about every courier company still in business!
  3. I've heard many good things about Darren, I think your Z will be in good hands there. For your parts, your best bet is to stick a thread up in the wanted section asking for a manual conversion kit. There are a few people on here that should be able to help you with what you need [emoji106] Welcome to the club Graeme, let's see some pics of your Z [emoji41]
  4. Welcome to the club. I saw the car at a show earlier in the year and it looks amazing [emoji106]
  5. Glad you got a result you're happy with Lee. Look forward to the progression of the next chapter [emoji106]
  6. Another interesting fact about these waterproof cars: a typical car in the UK is parked up for 96.5% of its life. That's an average car, imagine the % for those that only use them for fun in the sun or a blat on a track.
  7. About the new tax procedure Stephen, although the option is there to pay for tax monthly, that is only if you pay by direct debit for 12 months. Annoyingly, you still can't buy just 1 months tax at a time, 6 months remains the minimum [emoji17]
  8. Happy Birthday Chap, hope whatever you're doing with yourself nowadays is working out well for you [emoji106] Otherwise, get your ass back on here and take my money!
  9. Do you have a picture? Is it one with a mileage recorded for the timing belt replacement?
  10. You know this is the Le Mans classic, not the Spa classic right?
  11. The show starts on the 24th, a lot of people travel far and wide to get to the event and so rather than leaving at silly 'o' clock in the morning to join a hefty queue of traffic, the pre-show camping gives you the opportunity to arrive on the 23rd and camp onsite.
  12. Happy Birthday Steve [emoji320][emoji512][emoji482][emoji322]

  14. Whilst there are still the occasional horror story (expected for the large turnover of wheels they refurbish), I have generally heard very good things about Lepsons and according to their website, you're both wrong! A friend of mine is having his wheels colour changed here in a few weeks after scouring the Internet for the most reliable solution based on the feedback he found. http://www.lepsons.com/the-lepsons-guarantee/
  15. Even more so with a diamond cut finish.
  16. Sorry to see you bad experience there Danny. I've had bad experiences in the past with other alloy wheel refurb companies, it does seem to be a bit of a lottery! Did you send them solely to have the diamond cut rims powder coated?
  17. I did love that green one, you should've kept that old girl!
  18. The 737NG nose support isn't for jacking, it's just a steady. The jacking is done by the mains and tail jacks, once the desired height is reached, the nose jack is only installed as a steady to support the nose in case a few cake fans entered the flight deck just after Christmas! In reality, it would only ever be likely to topple forward if the nose steady wasn't installed, all the fuel tanks were empty and engines removed and lots going on at the front of the a/c. As a "steady" the nose is very well supported by that jack.
  19. After pondering on this topic, I found it too difficult to isolate a single machine as my favourite. I have a general interest in anything engineeringy! but as narrow and widebody commercial airlines/cargo aircraft have paid my wages for the last 17 years, I guess they should make my favourites! I'm no certainly no "aerosexual" but sometimes I do have to step back and marvel. At work tonight I had a defect on a jet that required jacking and function checking the gears. It's always bizarre to see a clean aircraft belly without it being airborne:
  20. Steve300zx was the original owner of the car you're thinking of.
