  1. I was home messing with my brakes thinking I should be up at Tan Hill but looking at the turnout I didn't miss much! LOL Who actually went?
  2. Yeah it's on the side of the gearbox. If you need a new one speak to Mike at MJP he can get most Nissan parts much cheaper. Where abouts in York are you? I'm in Harrogate.
  3. That is truly shocking! Is there anybody on this planet would think that looks better than a 350Z??? :o Says "Impact" on the plate. That's what it needs - a high speed impact into a solid wall. The back end looks like it's made out of some old bath panels cut up and glued together LOL Why is it with fibreglass/kit cars they spend ages making the front look average then think the back end doesn't need as much attention and leave it looking utter shite?!
  4. Awwwwwwesome sound! LOL I'm sooooo jealous! :D
  5. The power and airbag quotes are clearly wrong but it does look in fantastic condition, especially the interior.
  6. Thats what I did in the end. Molegrips helped but still couldn't get enough power onto them before they slipped so got a hacksaw blade in and cut chunks off the side of the fitting until it came undone. Damaged the threads on one of them and haven't had time to fit the hose to it but fingers crossed it will still screw up tight. Taken me the best part of 2 days to get these ******* things off! :mac1: Putting the calipers on took 10 minutes each side
  7. Yes they do that as they can't handle a higher resolution than designed for. He said it was already broke when he was given it so unlikely but you never know.
  8. No they just unbolt from the manifold. Dead easy if the engine is out. Just a little fiddly with the clips that are on the screws so just take your time.
  9. I don't think any amount of pressure is going to free them up I've had a decent set of brake spanners on them and extension bars etc to force it undone but the pipe end just rounded off. I'll try mole grips but I don't think they'll grip hard enough. Don't see how there's enough room to put a new pipe end on and have a feeling I might end up needing a new brake line putting in :(
  10. There's quite a common fault that causes this along with the red rings problem. Usually the graphics chip comes loose and taking off the heatsink and cleaning it up, pressing down the chip and putting new compound on will sort it. Nothing to lose anyway :)
  11. Got some new braided hoses to fit my rear R34 calipers and spent all day trying to get one of the old hoses off. It already has braided hoses on from about 6 years ago but they've rusted up solid and I need to change them because they won't work with the R34's. Tried everything including penetrating oil and heat but it won't budge and in the end the nut rounded off so I'm completely screwed. Don't know if there's any way of putting a new end on the pipe as it's so tight in against the bodywork and suspension. Car is on my drive with no brakes now so don't know what I can do with it. HELP! :(
  12. Woohoo! So what was the spec in the end? Think I was away all the time you've been building it!
  13. At last a post to make me glad to be older! LOL £310 a year with mods declared on a classic policy :D I do remember a quote of £7500 once years ago though  Never paid more than £600 in the 9 years I've had it but I'm 38.
  14. Sounds perfect apart from the getting up early bit! :D
  15. Poo your pants?
  16. I thought that, the model budget must have run out by the end LOL
  17. Niiiiiiiice! :hurl:
  18. If the engine is out then you just undo the bolts
  19. Well road cars generally are quoted as flywheel figures. I think mine must be around 430 wheel horsepower at the moment and I could happily do with another 100 I reckon. Need a remap and to turn the boost up and I might just get there :)
  20. LMAO :D I'd definately give the second girl a sausage roll
  21. Cools the gearbox too I think? Pretty sure the pipes run right back to the front.
  22. Not many sports cars you can buy go much beyond 450 to 550bhp, maybe a bit more for some of the big GT type stuff but mainly because it's more than enough for road use. The manufacturers could get a lot more power out of engines if they wanted but it's just not needed. How often are you going to need your 1001bhp in a Veyron and be able to floor it on a public road?
  23. Happy birthday! Where you been hiding??? :D
  24. I would have if it made any sense  Still haven't finished GOW2 as I got really busy with work and haven't had time :(
