  1. Surely those puppies would warm the beer?
  2. I think most people would do a runner as soon as they saw you, never mind the dog
  3. Whatever it is it will probably add £300 to a quote from Adrian Fux
  4. Mine was off a very low mileage car and seemed like new. It's done a couple of thousand at most since the engine rebuild and big turbos went on and it's killed it :( :( :( Why didn't I buy a non turbo all those years ago LOL
  5. Have a look at this: http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/bov/bov.html Not the same but might help. I'm pretty sure you need to block both holes or maybe one runs up to your new BOV's? Can't remember without having a look at mine.
  6. Sounds good! Mine sounds like something off a rally car at the moment LOL
  7. Well I took the wheel off again to take it to see if they could repair it. As I had a bit of wear on the inside edges I decided to take both the rears and get them swapped over side to side. Got there and handed the wheels over. I thought you said it was a screw he says, as he spots a nail and pulls it out the tyre. 4 inches long! And in the other wheel so good job I took both down! Lucky thing is the guy in the shop had already booked it in as one puncture repair so I got both repaired and fitted for £15 :D Bargain although when I got home and looked at the wheel he's put LOADS of balancing weights on it. Never seen anything like it will take a pic tomorrow and see what you all think.
  8. Mine is always wear and tear from getting a good thrashing but I seem to just kill tyres, brakes, gearboxes and clutches in no time. Drove the car the other day and the box is whining so loud it's going to go very soon. Need to keep an eye out for a good used box or get a stronger gear kit ordered. Have you had any ideas with your box Iain?
  9. Was talking to the guys at the tyre shop today and they said they've had screwdrivers, allen keys, tent pegs and even a wheel brace before  LOL They said it's always in the back tyres because they get kicked up by the fronts and as the rear rotates onto it they get hammered straight in.
  10. Yeah I meant they might need some removing so they open earlier. Could be a leak yeah.
  11. I know the feeling mate, bottom end went on mine and I had no choice but to rebuild but glad I spent the money in the end. Took it off the road until I could afford it. Will keep an eye out. You might as well have had my spare engine that I "sold" and was never paid for :(
  12. Yeah yeah I'll give you a race next month ;) After I've nicked your wheel nuts
  13. Aren't I always? :D Well almost... LOL
  14. Cooool :D Forgot you had the same wheels :slap: Have you got any 18G turbo's going spare?
  15. Top tip there! :) Didn't think you could get to it through the bell housing.
  16. Last time the car went in for work doing they must have lost a wheel nut. Anyone know if it's an MOT failure? I think they are special nuts that came with my alloys but I'll take a pic and see if anyone has a spare knocking about ;)
  17. Maybe your valves need adjusting? Mine came with washers to pack the spring out so they open at different pressures, some have adjustment screws.
  18. Not a major problem but it is a bit of a boost leak so could affect performance a little. Do a search for "goose honk" Will bring up loads of stuff about it. Fitting new recirculating valves or blow off valves fixes it.
  19. Funny that! If you took it to Mr Brakes i reckon it would turn out to be your brakes that are causing it LOL My local garage did it for £180 last time and I've done it in 2.5 hours on a ramp myself before so even that's a bit steep if you ask me but it's a pain in the arse so I don't mind paying when it breaks every year LOL It could be the clutch fork or bearing is squeeking and a bit of lube will fix it but if it is you might as well put a new clutch in as the box has to come off anyway. If the noise could be from inside then it must be the booster or just a squeeky pedal.
  20. Err sounds like a problem with the new ECU!
  21. Does it sound a bit like a goose or owl? LOL Could be the recirc valves are on their way out. They start making a noise like the above.
  22. Problem I have is unless I go out at lunch time at work and fill up it's not worth it but it's a pain having to remember and go out specially. If I forget and have to fill near home it costs me £27 instead of £20  It's still better than petrol though it would cost me about £45 to do the same distance. Went to Scotland last bank holiday and worked out where the LPG stations were so it should have only cost me £35 ish each way but... Half the stations had run out as they don't get regular deliveries and everyone was on the roads for bank holiday so I had to do half the trip on petrol costing me an extra £75 :( They don't tell you all this when you read up on cheap LPG motoring! If you can get a car that's already LPG converted it's worth it but spending £1500 to £2000 converting an existing car would take forever to pay back unless you do massive miles. On a car you also lose the boot space to a huge tank. On 4x4's they usually mount underneath so you don't lose the boot :)
  23. Will take it tomorrow and see if they can fix it. Fingers crossed!
  24. Yeah but how does a 2" long screw get straight in through a tyre it's not like it was standing on end in the road LOL
