  1. I've got T28's and it certainly shifts! LOL Still only running 14psi until I can get it mapped but the difference to stock turbo's at the same pressure is HUGE.
  2. I'd say it is fairly normal. In a stock Z standing in traffic in hot weather I've heard them come on before  Haven't heard mine since I put a huge radiator on but I've got far more water in the system now and a much bigger cooling area.
  3. Even in a Z you'd have trouble doing that on a sunday
  4. LOL  Thing is you get 20% less mileage on LPG so once it gets up to 60 odd pence it's not much different to petrol while it's been 85p ish. Crazy thing is LPG creeps up with the petrol prices when they have nothing to do with each other. Robbing barstewards! What I find even more crazy is that millions of litres of the stuff are burnt off at refineries and oil platforms every day going to waste but we have to pay good money for the stuff!
  5. If you don't like fluctuations then LPG is the wrong thing to go for! My Discovery V8 is LPG converted and the prices are just crazy. As low as 45p a litre in central Leeds where I work but near home 15 miles away it's 65p! Makes about £8 difference on a fill up! Can still fill it for £20 though at 45p :D Not as many LPG stations about so if you find one you can't afford to pass it or you end up using petrol and in a 4 litre V8 that weighs 2 tonnes it really hurts your wallet! Selling it soon if anyone is interested? got too many cars now the Z is nearly sorted. '97 Discovery 3.9 V8i XS Auto LPG dual fuel £1700 :)
  6. Ahhh LOL Would have made a nice day out at the coast if my car was running :D
  7. Mine failed the MOT for it a few years back but there were other items too so I just screwed it up tight and it went through when it was all fixed. Keeps doing it though. Must be all that hard cornering when I'm hanging on for dear life! LOL
  8. Like I said in my first post your gauge temp sensor is loose! :slap: LOL
  9. The fan bolts onto the water pump pulley not the crank pulley so no problem :) The fan shroud won't fit properly with that radiator but I never fitted mine and it's been OK
  10. PS. If I ever go near a caravan with it you are all welcome to shoot me
  11. I'd be tempted myself but I haven't got a spare in the boot so can't risk it going down next time I'm 100 miles from home LOL Screwed it back in and it's stayed up :D
  12. Is it that you fix your Z and then find even more wrong? LOL Finished fitting my brakes and just need them bleeding tomorrow. Put my rear wheel back on and noticed a screw through an almost new 295 tyre!  Tyre hasn't moved in a year so it's been there ages and hasn't gone down. I started to unscrew it hoping it might be a small one but noooo it started to hiss and the thing is about 2 inches long. God knows how it got stuck in there. It never ends!
  13. It just snaps in and you can't see it at all when removed :) Shame you CAN see that one of my exhaust trims fell off LOL
  14. I had an interesting moment on the way back from Loch Lomond once. Stopped at the lights in Glasgow with 24ft of boat and outboard on the back and a guy pulls up next to me in a new black BMW and starts giving it some revs. I couldn't resist... Lights change and he goes for it! Bye bye BMW! Left him standing and pulled a good half mile gap before I slowed and he caught up LOL He must have been gutted. Just glad I did a good job of tying the boat down or I might have dumped it on it's hull in the middle of the junction
  15. Yes I've got one on mine that's removable and completely hidden when not in use. Nissan used to make a factory tow kit but it's no longer available according to people I asked. Mine was a Brink snap-off system custom fitted to tow the boat or a jetski but as I wanted it removable and hidden it wasn't cheap - £400 but worth it so I don't have to drive to the coast for a week away in a different car when I could be enjoying the Z. Having said that the boat broke down as well as the Z so I've hardly used it LOL From here: http://www.towbarstrailers.com/
  16. Cheers for that, I'll have a go tomorrow. Got to bleed the new brakes too, should be fun!
  17. East from Beverley on the coast :D
  18. Says Hornsea on his profile ;)
  19. Well from the error code and description it's got to be a faulty PTU! I'm a bit far away in Harrogate but you're welcome to try my PTU. The early series 1 PTU was recalled and a series 2 item released that doesn't fail. They always go wrong when the weather starts to warm up. Cost about £360 from Nissan but you can get them for about £50 I think from traders on here.
  20. That's when the fan should come on. Where's the problem???
  21. Aaaaaaaaarrggghhhhhh! I give up
  22. No it's not. There isn't a seperate loom for the Series 1 PTU
  23. Yeah you can't just order the loom on it's own I don't think other than ebay above.
  24. Do they expect it to move when that rear "skirt" is actually lower than the tyres? LOL
  25. Get yourself one of these or similar - press a button and it's backed up. Or schedule for a certain time of day. http://www.maxtor.com/en/hard-drive-backup/external-drives/maxtor-onetouch-4.html Chances are it was just the BIOS got corrupted and clearing it has cured the problem. It can happen from time to time from power surges, incorrect shutdown etc etc. If the PC is 5 years old and your business is depending on it then I'd be replacing it as sooner or later it's bound to go wrong. You can get a perfectly good business PC with monitor etc for £300+VAT or about £180 if you just want to swap the tower and keep your other stuff.
