  1. Well done, I'm so glad someone will be able to look after it :) Can't believe the Sultan's car list! I knew he had a lot but there's basically a few of every decent car ever produced LOL 7 Z's??? Imagine how much it costs to keep those on the road, never mind all the other stuff
  2. Tell me about it. Mine used to be spotless with shiny chrome and everything painted. Had it off the road for over a year and everything is filthy, corroded and rusty :( Needs a lot of hours putting in to get it back to it's former glory.
  3. You could grow potatoes in that plenum! Car looks great now it's lowered to the floor :D Would love a set of coilovers but other stuff needed first
  4. Excellent! Let me know what they say and if it's good news I'll get some too :)
  5. How odd, I've just found exactly the same today! Presume i'll end up having to get a new set of clear repeaters :(
  6. I've missed this every year! Car is always off the road for Le Mans for some reason LOL
  7. Could do with one of those it's roasting here today :D
  8. I think I have problem with mine. It never goes much above zero and i can't remember ever seeing it show full. Could it be something to do with my empty wallet?
  9. Break in the wiring somewhere or faulty coil pack?
  10. The force required to turn it takes power away from the wheels. It's a power saving too far if you ask me so stick with the viscous unit unless you can afford a very big electric unit. Even electric ones use power by putting more load on the alternator and making that harder to turn. You can't get something for nothing. Turn on a big audio amp and watch your revs drop!
  11. We should have a sticky thread on PTU failure in warm weather and advice on series 1 & 2 units. This happens every year as soon as summer arrives
  12. You should have 2 large holes where you took the recirc valve out. Both of these need blocking off tightly so there's no leak. The small vacuum line off the recirc valve is then just moved or extended up to the top of your new dump valve. If it runs a bit rough or revs drop/stalls when coming to a halt you need to tighten up the valves when you've done.
  13. Mine are in place of the recircs like that Apexi fitting guide. Should still be able to work out what's what though. Will have a look now and post back in a few mins.
  14. Probably the least of my worries for the MOT anyway LOL Fingers crossed.
  15. Don't they do a visual check of brakes etc or is it just the brake performance test? I always thought the wheels had to come off for some reason  Maybe I don't need to worry then :D
  16. I think the problem with additives like these is you're always putting them in an engine that's on it's last legs. If it goes bang shortly after do you blame the additive or was it going to fail anyway?
  17. Yes my Azev wheels have center covers so it's hidden normally :( I might have to put a different nut on for now and hope they don't start being fussy that it doesn't fit to the wheel surface correctly. It's booked in for Wednesday so unless Mac has a spare I can get in time I might just have to.
  18. I was going to say that :D When I priced up a genuine pump and a copy from my local parts place the difference was only about a tenner I think so not worth the saving when you're risking your engine overheating. At least when it fails like this you're going to notice it and stop! LOL Get a proper Nissan one.
  19. So what happened with this?
  20. Looks like they just sell Polo's so probably traded it in and they don't know it's a rare car and might be worth a bit more :)
  21. Yeah that's a bargain. Veilside style mirrors and a fancy rear spoiler that looks a bit like that one everyone was searching for a while back.
  22. LOL Now I've re-read it I guess he was talking about the pool LOL Must get a big pool for the garden this year so the kids can have a splash about and I can dive in when I'm pissed  Got a pond but the fish might not like it LOL
  23. A lot of people say it's the best V6 engine ever made :D I had a 156 V6 with a slightly newer version of the same engine and I'd have to agree. They rev like nothing else and are so smooth and responsive. Was worse on petrol than my Z though when pushed! The bling pipes are standard :) I've had a few Alfa's and loved them all. Loads of character and unusual features but never had a problem with any of them other than a gearbox go on an ex demonstrator that might have been caned on test drives. Was under warranty anyway. Love the 155 and always wanted the Silverstone special edition which had black wheels a bit like yours but they look like standard painted black?? Enjoy!
