  1. Cheers Si :) I'll buy a UK one then, no point having a flash unit and not getting the proper display and RDS etc
  2. I'm looking at buying a Pioneer DEH-P9800BT head unit and the RRP is about £700.00 here. Cheapest I've seen in UK is £395.00 but... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIONEER-DEH-P9800BT-CAR-CD-PLAYER-DEHP9800BT-BLUETOOTH_W0QQitemZ150132817139QQihZ005QQcategoryZ39762QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem There's a few on eBay U.S for a couple of hundred quid but it states that FM radio may not work with all frequencies outside the U.S. Has anyone imported head units before and know if it will work in the UK as they ship worldwide and may just be covering their backs. Not sure on U.S radio frequencies  There's also a seller in Hong Kong but I know Japanese radio's used to need a range expander which I want to avoid.
  3. Some people are easily pleased :D  Saz tells me a pair of six inchers are always better than one  :x:
  4. I got mine from Z1 Motorsports in U.S and not seen anyone selling them here. To be honest the quality of the Koyo ones is better and mine arrived twisted and warped and it must have left the factory like that. It's a huge rad and works great but would have been nice if it was straight LOL
  5. I saw this one parked up today. Might put one of the forum cards on it if I see it again. Looks quite nice :)
  6. Did you see Gatecrasher burnt down a couple of days ago? Huge fire
  7. I'm 36 and still loving it :D Can still out party most of the kids so not time to give up just yet although like Sarah I'm enjoying the food and wine a lot more these days which is worrying
  8. Well the front bumper is almost an exact copy of an Aston and the badges are made to look like Aston badges ;) Overall I'd say its SH!TE :xxx: Agree with Si on the doors = chavtastic and interior just makes me feel ill.
  9. Did you put the filter on the end and blow down it?
  10. I've seen him before somewhere LOL
  11. Found the link on AndyP's site :) http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/tech/blitz/blitz.htm You will need more hose than stated as the Blitz normally comes with some.
  12. If I remember correctly, some of the pipes just unscrew from underneath so I removed those and blanked off some other bits but the sections that are moulded in I just left alone. I removed and blanked off the EGR system while I was at it.
  13. Good luck! LOL  Never seen one of those before in all my years on here  Might just be 12v to the red wires, ignition/lights switched 12v to the yellow for dial illumination and black to earth. Vacuum line from balance bar to the boost sensor. Boost solenoid needs to be T'd in to the 2 wastegate lines and there's a write up on fitting the Blitz controller here somewhere which shows the pipework you need.
  14. Mine failed like that on the bottom hose. I'm sure it's all in one so you need a new rad I'm afraid unless you can bodge the connection somehow - depends how big a hole you've got LOL The traders on here can supply a Koyo rad so would be silly to pay the same for a crappy little Nissan one. Swapping to a proper auto box cooler will prolong the life of your box so if you can do it for the same price as getting Nissan to fit the rad then I'd do that. A lot of import auto boxes fail within months of people buying them without a proper UK/European cooler setup. Fitting the rad really is an easy job - just unbolt the top brackets where the bonnet stay clips in, unfasten the top and bottom pipes and the 2 cooler pipes off the side and it lifts out. Plus you'll do a better job than most Nissan main stealers!
  15. I didn't bother. Far too much messing about for no benefit IMO :)
  16. Put a long screwdriver on the injector and the other end to your ear - you should be able to hear the injector clicking. Another way is to remove the CAS (Crank Angle Sensor - mark it's position before you remove it as it sets the timing) from the front right of the cam cover and with the ignition on, turn the spindle and you should hear the injectors click. Have you done a compression check??? You might be wishing you'd saved the money for the alloys etc if it needs an engine rebuild! :o Probably Nissan for the connector clips etc if they are available separately. Mike at MJP in the traders section on here can do Nissan parts cheaper but I think you will have to subscribe to the forum first. Will be the best £20 you invested in this car though it will save you a fortune in the long run ;)
  17. Maybe one of the girls can "PMS" him :slap:
  18. Yep, as Si says it would be stupid just to do one turbo as the other is just as worn and taking the engine out isn't something you want to do twice. Do a search on plenum water bypass as it costs bugger all to do and could save you a lot of work in future. Engine mounts are nearly always knackered so might need replacing. Worth checking the clutch if it's a manual?
  19. Those wheels are very big in Japan. I went to a recent Skyline meet and 3 out of the 5 cars had those wheels in various colours. Quite like them myself and I hate the normal style 3 spokes.
  20. Veilside Supra spoiler :) I remember driving back from JAE after Paul bought that with it inside the Z plus 3 passengers and a load of camping gear LOL
  21. Saw a black Z parked outside Jacksons/Sainsbury's about 16:30 today, Sunday. Anyone here?
  22. I'm in Harrogate and there's a garage here where the owner drives a 300ZX if that's any good. You might be able to get a radiator cheaper from Mike at MJP in the traders section on here and get it fitted if you don't fancy doing the job yourself but its dead easy. I could even fit it for you if you want.
  23. Sounds like one of the sensors is disconnected under the dash which causes exactly this problem. Easiest one to check is on the plastic pipe that guides air to the door vents. Take off the panel below the steering wheel and you might see a connector unplugged on the pipe. If it's not that one there are a couple of others you could investigate in the online service manual here.
  24. The HICAS light is also used for power steering fluid level so you might want to keep it. Someone did a write up on how to make it work correctly recently.
  25. Expert Advice - DON'T! LOL You could also ask Wozzer how long his engine lasted after he installed it ;) LOL
