  1. You need a crows foot wrench or a proper sensor removal tool and they are a real pain to get to. Also they are usually well and truly stuck from all the heat. Just sticking it in for an MOT isn't going to tell you what caused the failure. If you already know it's failed an emissions test then that's all they will tell you again at MOT - they don't go into what the fault is so you're wasting your money IMO.
  2. Have a read of the Buyers Guide: http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm
  3. So how do you think they import cars and sell them here??? They don't import cars that can't be used
  4. Speak to Mike at MJP in the traders section on here. He does most Nissan parts cheaper but they're still not exactly cheap to change a pair just at a guess. I'd get someone to test them out first.
  5. What do you mean by power cylinder? It's usually just the pipes that leak...
  6. I like it exactly as it is apart from those silly little mirrors which are out of proportion on a big car. Only thing I'd add is some 99 spec rear lights :)
  7. Which country are you from/in? Why not just buy a car here or use an import dealer who will do it all for you?
  8. Yes me, Vinz and quite a few others have them. They are SERIOUSLY loud though if you are running decent boost LOL See how much http://www.funkystyling.co.uk are doing a pair for with fitting kit as they look a really good price. It's the Type H-RFL ones you want (RFL = Really F****** Loud) LOL
  9. Someone did this recently and it looked quite good. Do a search :)
  10. Well they look the same as the ones they sent me and they were in Turbo XS packaging. I'll have a look at the new ones :) Edit: They are a lot cheaper too! Best price I'd found in the UK before was about £169 each.
  11. The rear end is quite nice but the front and those wheels are minging :nelson:
  12. Most people steer well clear of the Bailey ones as they're not really designed for the Z. The Turbo XS ones ARE the loudest you can get and come with the correct Z fitting kit http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_22&products_id=83 Works out about £150 for the kit when you'd pay more than that for one valve here and then have the fitting kit on top :)
  13. Yes you need a pair. Turbo XS RFL are the loudest you can get and a good price too :)
  14. So it's not much use then is it? LOL Remove the cover over the speedo and unplug the little black chime box :)
  15. What do you think the "Econ" button is for? :headvswal LOL With the Aircon off or in Economy mode it doesn't use any power and when you floor it the ECU switches off the aircon itself (Power light also comes on) so you get maximum power ;) I can understand people removing it as it does weigh a lot but the only time you'd want to take the belt off is if the compressor has seized.
  16. How rude, it's giving me the V's LOL
  17. I might have the car back on the road by then :) Will still need painting but what the hell LOL
  18. I think I'm already on the list but I'll check. Will be there Friday to Sunday :)
  19. Yes I got the nuts yesterday mate and they fit! Thanks a lot :) That description is a big help. I'm sure it's a lot simpler once you're under the car but just wanted to know which way round all the bits attach before I dive in and unbolt stuff. Thanks anyway Iain :) I saw a pic of one a while ago on here but can't find it right now.
  20. I'm looking for a few pics of SE Nisstek's HICAS eliminator bar installed so I can see exactly how it bolts together. It's a bit more complicated than most HICAS bars.
  21. Lucky git! Yet again my Z is off the road because of lack of funds so I miss Le Mans for the 7th year  Definately going next year... LOL
  22. So yours is a FAKE! LOL
  23. Well I like the colour and the stainless turbo pipes are nice...
  24. 60 beers is a hell of a lot mate
