  1. I love my Falken 451's (now replaced by the 452) and they're a great price :) I've tried all sorts and I think they're as good as the Bridgestones I used to pay a fortune for.
  2. Yeah thats what I meant, depends how you read my reply LOL
  3. Aaah right it might be a bit more fiddly with that type of switch as it needs power for the light on it. I would think if you cut into the head unit antenna wire and connect the head unit side to the switch positive and the other side to accessory, then earth to earth, it should work. You shouldn't need a power feed as such. When the switch is ON your head unit will control the aerial as it does now and the switch light will be on. Switch OFF and the switch light goes off, the aerial goes down and stays down in CD or radio mode.
  4. Well it does work but a certain person is fussy about it staying up when his CD is on LOL
  5. All I can say is YOU LAZY GITS! LOL
  6. Eh? Why do you need a positive feed? The aerial has it's own power and all you need to switch is the antenna on/off line out of the stereo that tells the aerial to go up and down. Should just need a single pole switch connecting into the antenna wire out the back of the head unit and leave the rest as it was. To clarify, the antenna wire on the head unit doesn't power the aerial as such, it just sends 12v to the relay to tell it to go up. The aerial itself has it's own power feed. This way the aerial works as it used to when the switch is on and if you turn it off the aerial stays down as it's not been sent 12v to trigger it to go up.
  7. I can't beleive they'd pay £720 for some knackered wheels! Bet they don't pay up ;)
  8. I'm glad you're not :p :p :p I get this a lot and I think a lot of the time it's just people wanting a good look at the car or wondering what it is. They come tearing up and undertake etc and hang alongside gawping whilst not realising they're about to cause an accident
  9. LOL How much is it to hire you instead? :x:
  10. LOL you used to be able to hire Jet Ski's there so no point!
  11. Well it's raining again up here in the north so I just hope it stays dry for anyone that goes. If you haven't been before in bad weather you will find out why it's called the "Aquadrome"!! LOL The lakes and streams all over the site join up into one big puddle!
  12. All you need is a switch to break the connection in the antenna control wire off the back of the head unit :) They are usually labelled up.
  13. You can get rough running symptoms if the hot wire has got dirty or is damaged. It's just the same when you get water in the MAF through a wet filter. See if you can swap yours with someone local as there's not really any other way of testing it :)
  14. If you use the FireFox browser you can install this :) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2390 or for Internet Explorer/FireFox: http://download.leechvideo.com/ Lets you download video from YouTube, Google Video etc
  15. LOL I'd love to know how he came up with that combination!
  16. £19.95 from Larkspeed and they do all the colours: http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=262160&a=i It's £24 from Halfrauds :( Either way, still buy the rum and coke - makes for a much more enjoyable job :D
  17. Yep I just mixed enough for the fronts in a jam jar and kept the rest for later :)
  18. Surely not???
  19. Yes it will do all 4 easy :)
  20. The Foliatec lacquer is expensive but its actually a kit of de-greasant, lacquer and hardener. It goes on smooth so even if you're crap with a brush it levels itself out and sets rock solid like enamel and remains shiney so no need to spray over with a clear coat as you would with normal paint. It's also really thick so it gives a factory look and not like someone just put a thin layer of paint over them LOL Once it's done you won't ever need to touch them up as it's rock hard.
  21. Coool I knew someone must have tried it :) Wozzer told me no way would it fit as he couldn't get one in his 4x4. I was going to take it off and see if it fitted in the boot tonight but you an imagine the looks on my neighbours faces as I take it off and start shoving it in the boot! WTF??? LOL  I might have sold it anyway and if it doesn't fit for some reason I'll leave it behind a hedge for one of you southerners to collect in a Z styleee treasure hunt :D
  22. At a guess, 220 miles! LOL Just north of Leeds :D
  23. Just had a guy from the Glasgow area call me about the boat and he's owned a load of Z cars - 240Z, 260Z etc etc and said he's seen a few nice 300's recently but stayed away because he knows how much they can hurt your wallet LOL Most people who have called about it are real petrol heads and have some very interesting cars :)
  24. I used Foliatec Caliper Paint on mine, looks great but it's not cheap :(
  25. LOL it's one of those days init?
