  1. I really like the front but the back end has all gone a bit wrong
  2. It's only just had an OS Giken twin plate clutch along with their special bearing about 1000 miles ago and it's not the usual clutch chatter type noise you get. Sounds more like an electric car pulling away.
  3. They are Turbo XS or copies of them. Looks like you've got the fitting kit too so will just go in place of the factory recirc valves. Very loud ;) Got them on my car.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230150838078&rd=1&rd=1 My boat has hit it's reserve so last chance if anyone fancies it :)
  5. LOL I do drive like a tw@t it has to be said  Every car I've had has had at least 2 gearboxes and new suspension LOL
  6. No i've just fitted a new OS Giken clutch that can finally take the power and the next weak link goes :( Depends if it's likely to fail or just get noisier.
  7. Yes it was a truly awesome drive to say Len is about 70 and it was his one and only lap in my Z  Just goes to show that it's all about knowing the track and not what car your are in.
  8. I think it might be the gearbox or diff. It does it in any gear but kind of dies away above about 40mph. If I dip the clutch the noise stops :( I have been thrashing it a bit with close to 500bhp going through it.
  9. I had to put the back seat down and move the passenger seat forward a couple of inches but it goes in sideways quite nicely and the boot closes fine :)
  10. Shiiiit I hope not LOL Does seem speed related. I'll investigate tomorrow.
  11. I did 500 motorway miles this weekend and spent £130 on fuel! :( That was involving quite a few 4th gear blasts up to 140mph ish LOL Still, it's twice as good as I get round town :mac1: My car aint standard though ;)
  12. Actually I didn't notice it making a noise when I wasn't moving - I'll check tomorrow. It seems to start as you pull away and can be heard up to about 35mph then it goes away or gets drowned out. Surely if it was the PAS pump it would make a noise just revving the engine? Does the speed sensitive side of things alter pressures that might affect it? I'm not sure my arms are big enough to try driving it without the belt LOL
  13. I think you might have it there. My PAS has had a few leaks recently and it's been running very low on fluid a lot as it was just running out and costing me a fortune in fluid. I actually got it fixed when I ripped out all the HICAS stuff a few weeks ago so bit of a shame if it's finally knackered the pump just as I've sorted it :( Will see what happens but it actually sounds quite cool LOL I've got a spare pump if that's what it is. The aircon has been stripped out so unlikely ;) It's not a boost leak, definately a mechanical whirring sort of whine that builds up with speed.
  14. Spent the weekend in London and I'm so glad to be back oop norf! LOL 1, Traffic! Constant jams and ignorant, lunatic drivers cutting everyone up and just generally being dangerous on the roads. Not so much as a nod or a wave from anyone I let in from side roads etc. People tearing down narrow streets and expecting you to get out of their way or have a head-on crash LOL 2, Speed cameras on every street and motorway, even where you would never be speeding anyway. 3, My mate who I stayed with is paying £2K a month rent for his flat - that's 3 times my mortgage on a nice 3 bedroom semi with a big garden LOL 4, Had a mad night out but the women don't even talk to you or give you any kind of look at all. I would hate to be single down there, I'd never get any! LOL 5, Called in at a petrol station for some hangover cures this morning - An M&S sarni and a carton of orange juice cost £6! LOL what a joke. 6, Wierdo's everywhere! Never seen so many odd, mental, and generally not quite right in the head people in my life LOL Is there anything good about living in the south apart from the weather which tends to be a bit warmer?
  15. Done about 500 miles in the Z this weekend and I've noticed the car has started making a whining noise as I accelerate. It's coming from the engine bay and sounds just like the noise a supercharger makes  Car is running great but a bit worried what it might be
  16. and there's 2 options really: Plastic strip: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_27&products_id=104 or boot skin which looks really nice but is more work to blend in: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_27&products_id=85
  17. Onion Bhaji's, Chicken Tikka Pathia (extra hot), Mushroom Pilau, Garlic Naan :p My local restaurant does Garlic Chicken which must have about 3 bunches of garlic in it so you stink for days after but it's flippin gorgeous!
  18. Yes but after about 2 weeks of solid rain and severe flooding all over the country I can see why they decided to cancel with the long range forecast was looking the same. I'm sure it will be a great event in September or whenever it happens :)
  19. Got it in the boot of the Z so wasn't a problem :) Anyone want to buy my old one now i've got it home?
  20. I was down in Kent at Brands Hatch today watching the GT car chamionship etc and it was really hot and blue skies. Driving home up the M1 with the roof off getting my head burnt until we got near Leicester and it was torrential rain all the way back to Leeds :( If that had hit Billing only a few miles further south it would have been a disaster.
  21. One brother was gored 8 inches deep in his left buttock   The pic of the horn in the other ones leg made me cringe! :o
  22. LOL I was biting my tongue too  Welcome to the madhouse Kirby! :D
  23. You've got a point there :) I have a big trolley jack and although it fits under, the cross member is so far back that the handle touches under the bumper and I can't lift it to jack it up! I have to use the scissor jack under the sill first to raise it up.
