High CO2 emissions....!
Vijay is trying to sort out club insurance for us so we're already on with that. A-Plan are really helpfull and that number is for their import only division so you won't get messed about - they don't do UK spec at that office! :D They seem very flexible and actually know about cars and mods and don't seem too fussed - obviously the price goes up but I've called them each time before doing anything major and they have not queried any of it. When I was moving house they covered me at both addresses while all the other companies I called said they would have to re-quote after I moved and they couldn't tell me how much it might be until afterwards. Sounded to me like they would just put the price up even though it was a better area. A-Plan reduced it by £300 2 months before I moved to the better area!

Flaptop Help...
It's not just the task bar that need dragging up is it? Not seen that problem before but you can use ALT+TAB to switch between programs in the meantime. If you just press the two together it jumps to the last program you used. If you hold ALT down and press TAB twice it will move back two programs etc. But you probably already knew that...

Laser/radar detectors
I have a Bell 980 and it's superb. I think it is exactly the same unit as the Snooper S5 rebadged. One thing to remember is a lot of them are designed for the U.S - the new Bell Euro range is set up for here and actually says motorway instead of highway which pissed me off bigtime on my old one! I had a Uniden detector a few years back and it was cheap but absolutely useless - it basically pointed out the camera flash in your rearview mirror!

Hesitation is getting worse
The temp sensor is on the top radiator pipe that goes into the front middle of the engine. There are 2 sensors - 1 for the gauge on the dash, the other for the ECU. Can't remember which is which but just unplug the wire from each and unscrew them. Clean off any gunge/corrosion until they are nice and shiny. Also clean the throttle bodies with carb cleaner and an old toothbrush. Disconnect the battery. Take off the 2 big hard pipes that go onto the plenum. Move the throttle pulley to open the butterflies and scrub out all the black oily gunge that coats them. Clean the flaps and around the back and sides as much as you can. Leave battery off for an hour before reconnecting (just enough time to do the job!) This resets the ECU to re-learn the air flow characteristics.

K&N Filter
Halfords sell the K&N stuff. You get a bottle of cleaning solution and a can of spray oil I think. If it is beyond cleaning then you can buy a new filter but it is nearly as expensive as buying the whole lot again.

High CO2 emissions....!
My import is insured with A-Plan (0845 0711234) and I have loads of mods declared. They were also very cheap. My full body kit and new wheels have only added £80, also got ECU, exhaust, intake, brakes declared and I'm paying about £750 I think fully comp with 6 points on my licence. Fitting a new intake might not help the CO2 problem but with a de-caff exhaust it will give you a bit more power :D

Nasty Kill
I killed a fox with the front of my Z. It dived out of a hedge and onto the passenger side fog light! Pushed my eurethane front back and bent the arch liner out by 2 inches. Dread to think what would have happened if it was my new Scarab fibreglass front. The lazy fox just lied there at the side of the road for weeks...

My clutch has arrived, Big thanks to Smithy

lowering springs raised car!
I have heard that they take a while to settle as they have been sat on a shelf with no load on them. Is your car an import? I've heard they are lower as standard. Anyone know if this is true? I've got the same going on mine when they arrive so would be interested in the results. My Z looks just the right height at the moment but one spring is sagging so ordered the Blitz ones. Hope it's not going to be higher

High CO2 emissions....!
I doubt if the cats just broke up and exited the back. It's common for people to have the car de-catted by taking the section of pipe out and gutting it to give more power. Cheaper than buying a cat replacement section. Probably the previous owner. Has it got the standard air filter fitted or an aftermarket unit?

NZR - PC screen burn?
Move your speakers further away? Are there any metal objects nearby that might have become magnetic and be causing it? Try moving the monitor to see if it goes away. If not could be a magnet has moved on the back of the tube. Whatever it sounds like quite a simple job to fix unless it is really old.

Red Stuff Pads
The best place to get Red Stuff pads is behind my car. They wore out so fast you could brush the dust off the road and pack it back together ;) LOL I drive my Z hard but they only lasted 2 months FFS!

Spam from forum members ?
Jay, I didn't mean any offence and hope we are still mates. I don't read ANY other forums as I'm too busy with this one and I would have made sure I had a link to this site that's all I was saying. I've got a lot of friends on this site. As Gio pointed out, a few things you have done/posted make it look like you are trying to get members to move to your forum and I know it has upset quite a few people as you can see. You haven't been on this forum for a while either which does make it look like you've left to take people with you. Why did you not go under the traders section here? There are already lot of us who know you and want bits off you.
