How come that in Japan......?
The reason they don't rot is they don't use salt on the roads. I have heard they use some kind of volcanic rock dust or something!?! Sounds MORE corrosive to me though?

Front bumper
Here's some things to consider: Scarab is about £290 from Z Centre. The original from Greddy is not available in eurethane and costs about $600 Stillen is about £550 ish I think but nice and bendy. If you scrape it enough the paint will still fall off but might not break. 99 Spec is nice but I don't think it looks quite as mean. My Z has 35mm Blitz lowering springs on it and to be honest the saggy spings before looked lower anyway - remember they are probably 10 years old on most of these cars! I haven't scraped anything yet but I can avoid the few speed bumps where I live. To me it's worth going 1/4 of a mile out of my way to drive a car like this :D Here's a few pics: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.carter80/assets/images/db_images/CCZ1.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.carter80/assets/images/db_images/CCZ2.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.carter80/assets/images/db_images/CCZ3.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.carter80/assets/images/db_images/CCZ4.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.carter80/assets/images/db_images/CCZ5.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.carter80/assets/images/db_images/CCZ6.jpg

performance difference
Hey Gavo, I might be up at PPS in Sunderland in the next week or 2 if you fancy a blast in a modded TT :D Or ask Paul G force who must be near you - he'll show you how much more your rear wheels can spin! :D

Abs
It won't be the ABS - as Paul said it has diagnostic stuff built in. Check ALL the bolts on the tension rods - I had my bushes replaced and a month or so later I got the wobble back. Turned out to be the bolts had come loose (or where never tightened more likely) where the bar fixes to the suspension arm on the drivers side. They were so loose that one came off with 2 turns of the finger and the other was nearly as bad! Get them checked because if the bar comes off the wheel will collapse into the arch and you'll find it very difficult to steer with one wheel locked up and steering where it wants!

Big upZ to Stuart (SRRAE) Nice one on the..
The very popular and cheap Pioneer A04 is being replaced with the double speed A05 and nobody has any stock of either at the mo :( I think Pioneer are having delivery problems during the changeover. Waiting for a couple myself for customers.

Hicas light staying on...
It's Dexron II type auto transmission fluid (think I've spelt it write! ;)) Most brands do the different specs of fluid. I know because I bought about 15 litres of the stuff last year with my power steering hose leak! It expands a huge amount with temperature so the cold mornings make it worse.

Road tax
Can you not register/tax the car here somehow? Any relatives in UK who could "own" it or something. Might complicate insurance I suppose. What are the rules cos when I went to Dublin for the weekend in the Z I didn't have to re-tax it?!?! :D LOL That's a massive amount to have to pay on top of rip-off insurance :( At least the fuel is cheap or was last time I was there.

Vijay a very happy chappy!
Ian the paint guru at PPS was telling me there's about 15-20 coats gone on there! Does it look bigger Vijay? :D LOL

Grasshopper Open Day
Yes that was my silver Z with the Greddy/Scarab front from Z Centre. It's the same one on Paul G's red one parked near mine. Nice to meet you Ajay and Emero ;) Did you get any pics of mine? I couldn't find the charger for my digi camera :( That Supra had an amazing paint job - the pictures just don't do it justice. It's still a Poopra though :D Chris.

funny moments
Yeah it's amazing some of the things people do when they see a Z. It's even worse now I've got the body kit on. I've had guys working at petrol stations ask me if its a Lamborghini, Bugatti EB110, Ferrari. McDonalds drive thru staff always seem to think it's a Ferrari too. Since having the car back kitted up for 2 days I must have had about 20 lads shouting stuff at me. I was discussing this with Johnny at GPS and he said you will notice people do the most stupid things without even thinking that they must look like total tits! Here's a few choice examples from the last 8 hours of driving in my normally quiet town: ****in' hell what an awesome car! You've got a ****in' beast of a car mate! (jumped in front of me at the lights giving both thumbs up) LMAO Look at the size of the wheels on that mother! Stunning car mate. You've got a shit car! (Piss-head who could hardly stand up with his mates) LOL What a ****in' animal! Aaaaaawwwsssssome! (Guy spinning round on his heel pointing at me) LOL There's never a dull moment in a modded Z :D Chris.

Vijay a very happy chappy!
I'm going to try and put myself a site together so I can host some decent pics. I'm really missing the rides section, especially after the GPS meet and not being able to let everyone see us all together again.

Looking gooooood mate! Couldn't you find anywhere more dirty to park it? LOL

Blasted clunking noise!!
I had a wheel moving about and after lost of searching it turned out to be the torsion bar bolts where it fastens to the supension arm were REALLY loose. One came off with 2 turns of the fingers and the other was not far behind! Scary really as the wheel could have collapsed into the arch and I'd probably be dead. I don't think the garage who fitted the poly bushes tightened one side up at all. I was getting the usual brake judder too but all was well after tightening them up again.
