  1. how much wasn't it if it isn't? :p
  2. Yeah, he had the red leather removed and carpeted the lot instead to go with his brown respray ;) I could do with one of those Air Fart Regulators - I have to wind the window down myself at the moment :D
  3. I'm sure someone said they tried swapping form Jap to UK or the other way round and it didn't work. I don't know if the Auto Controller Box near the ECU is different either as the Jap ones have the Power/Hold switch which UK's don't.

Wild Turkey Steve has a nice Blitz one for sale at a good price ;)
  5. Hey Steve, how about I have all your new bits for free and I let you drive it? LOL Maybe we should set up a car share scheme as nobody can afford to run a top Z on their own no matter what they earn! LMAO My Z is available for hire - weddings, funerals, burnouts... :D
  6. That's bad news mate, shame as it was a nice car too. I know exactly how you feel after spending nearly £10K on my Z, being without it for 10 months and 3 weeks later the auto box died - the week before christmas! :o Iwas tempted to buy yours and install the manual box and all the other bits but I can't afford it :( You could get a cheap engine from a one of the many scrapped ones about. Might not be reconditioned but would be OK for a few years (maybe!) Chris.
  7. This is very true but I could live with putting a bit of water in every few days and topping up the oil once a month as it's not my daily driver. The box was fine before it was stood for months. The only problem I had was last winter when it was slow to change up for the first mile when freezing cold in the morning. The engine runs superb and is as smooth as anything. It's never given me any problems but I can't find the bloody water leak and I think the engine might have to come out to fix them both anyway. I presume now would be the time to fix these bits if the box has to come off anyway?
  8. I think they are about £75 ? Had one replaced on mine under it's warranty.
  9. I've also got a water leak (pint a day) and bad oil leak on the engine so I'm even tempted to do a complete engine and gearbox swap but have no cash for quite a while. At least it looks flash on my drive... :(
  10. A few of you will know how much I recently spent on my Z making it look the biz. Well a week before Christmas after only having it back about 3 weeks the auto box has gone tits up and only gives me 1st & 2nd gears and third slips so much it's like it's not in gear. Maybe it's had enough of 400+bhp for a year and then standing for 9 months with no use. I'm fed up and have no cash for a rebuild or manual conversion which I was going to do ready for future engine mods. What's the cheapest effective rebuild or manual conversion (with clutch for 450+bhp) that anyone has had and where from? Boo hoo!
  11. He would buy it big sheets to stick the paint down on his resprays that keep falling off.... ;) :D
  12. If you set it up correctly Blitz claim it is accurate to within 3% and I can't imagine them saying that if it's so shit as to read +-80bhp?!?! I've got one on mine but I can't get the speed to calibrate (probably the speed convertor interfering) so I'll have to re-wire it. I got my Z weighed at a company I visit. With me, half a tank of fuel and a bodykit it weighed 1740KG. I think the meter needs the weight in pounds doesn't it? Did you convert this Nitro? 1620KG is 3571.5lbs Mine comes out at 3836lbs.
  13. Foliatec do this stuff already and Peter @ PPS has put it on mine on the bad areas for stone chips - eg the scoops in wide arches, front edge of sills etc It's just a toughened self adhesive film.
  14. I think it's mounted on the inside of the front bumper so might not be easy to access.
  15. Merry Christmas to all you Z nuts. Hope you all have a great time and a happy new year. Thanks to everyone for their help in persuading me to spend huge amounts of cash on a rust bucket LOL :D Special thanks to Macca, Timmy Turbo and PaulG for all their help this year, both Z related and other stuff - I've needed it. Have a good 'n'! Cheers, Chris.
  16. The kits are now ready but I have to pay the near £1000 for them all and I'm afraid I can't do without that kind of cash from my account at Crimbo (not fun at any time to be honest!) I haven't cashed any of the cheques you guys sent me and didn't think it was fair until it was all finalised. Someone said cheques have a date limit on them, is this true? If so I might have to send them back to you all and get new ones... First I've heard though. Chris.
  17. Try http://www.micheldever.co.uk They do most brands and I found they are the cheapest after lots of shopping about for my big tyres.

Top up the HICAS/Power Steering fluid. The cold makes the level fluctuate.
  19. Yeah but this is Paul G String Super Stud! :D Ask Mrs Turbo ;) LOL I love my modded Z but I bought it because it looked stunning as standard. It turns heads a 1000 times more now but I'm starting to find that a pain already!
  20. I spoke to EBC themselves as I was sent a set of pads for my Z that looked like they were off a mini  They said they recommend Red Stuff for Z's as they are heavy cars. They replaced the incorrectly supplied Green Stuff ones with Red Stuff FOC. They were great when warmed up but from cold they hardly stopped me at the bottom of the hill I live on even when only crawling. It felt like the servo assistance had gone it was that bad. The other problem was they only lasted me 2 months!!! :( They have changed the compounds now though...
  21. I think you will find that Z Centre's prices are actually pretty good. All Z stuff seems to be more expensive than your average car anyway. Some of his kit is copied from the original manufacturer eg Veilside skirts, Scarab/Greddy front and the originals are nearly twice the price.
  22. You IDIOT don't you know anything?!?!?!?! FFS LOL Can't tell you...
  23. I'm pissssssed but I have "ISSUES"
  24. No I think it looks better without mesh but everyone says the same to me. You would have to take it off to fit it.
