I got my Razo shifter from ExtremeRedline.com and it arrived in a couple of days at a very good price - it was actually less than advertised on the site as I didn't have to pay their regional sales tax. Tried Razo in this country for some pedals and they couldn't work out which ones I wanted even though I gave them the part number! They said they were out of stock and would call me when they got some in. Called them back a couple of times but never heard anything from them. The other problem is they never seem to have anyone on the phone who can speak decent English which doesn't help. Doh!

I still beat a BMW 750i V12 on the way back in 2nd on the twisties LMAO I'm going to try and get this GB finally sorted in the next couple of weeks but I must have said that a few times now!

I think you may find this poll is only voted on by current owners and ex owners - it is in a members only forum after all! LOL Unless we have a few fans who want to pay to view before they buy a Z but I doubt it...

Is this the spec of your Z or the Scooby cos 1.3 bar with only an exhaust and filter change on a Z sounds like you will need a new engine after the race!?! Even with a chipped ECU you can't get anywhere near 1.3bar without detonating very badly...

Extremes I go to: How about driving round in second gear for the last month with a shagged auto box just so I can still pose?! LOL

I was driving back home from my mums at Leeds to Harrogate the other night when I came up behind some traffic on an A road. Remember my auto box only has 1st and 2nd gears at the moment ;) I blasted past the 4 or 5 cars in front at about 70mph almost at the red line in 2nd (!) and to my suprise the car behind me followed me then on the next straight roared past. It was a nice silver Supra with a huge HKS exhaust that sounded the biz! Just my luck - I've never come up against one on the road in 3 years and now my box is shagged! I kept up with him as the road is fairly twisty and you can't do much over 70 anyway and we blasted past loads of other cars until he slowed to let me past. I shot past and he had the window down grinning at me LOL He came past on a long straight and left me standing as I could only really cruise at 60 without the revs being too silly. He slowed at a roundabout to let me follow and as we headed into Harrogate up a long hill with overtaking lane I blasted past. I was looking in my rearview mirror expecting him to be trying to get past and nearly went up the arse of a police scooby! The copper was doing about 35 and I must have been close to 70 with my front 130W fogs on so he must have seen me but didn't do anything LOL We pulled into a petrol station and chatted about Jap cars for about half an hour and he said he was going to buy a Z before getting the Supra. His car was standard he said but he had water injection and the huge HKS zorst on the back. He was suprised when I told him I only had 2 gears :D Turns out he lived about 6 miles away in Leeds and only followed me for the blast! LOL Nice bloke anyway.

I still grin every time I get in my Z after 3 years. You do get used to the power and start to want more but with a few mods and 400bhp it starts to get to the point where you can't keep your foot to the floor for more than a few seconds and everything else is left far behind! Even now with a knackered gearbox with only 1st and 2nd I can get up to 70 ish damn quick on 1 bar of boost :D

There is a new service being launched soon which uses your Sky dish for broadband but I think BT's satellite system is totally different. Has anyone tried or know of the service quality of this place? Broadband for £17.99 a month. I think that's the cheapest I've seen it. http://www.giointernet.com/

Call Johnny at Grasshopper for a great deal on a custom exhaust in stainless. Mine is more or less straight through with hardly any baffles in the back boxes so it's very loud but they can make them up to your specification. It is adjustable for length and sideways reach with removable trim on the back boxes so I can change the style of them if I feel like it! I paid about £400 not including the de-cat pipes.

Snooper have just released the first all-in-one radar/laser/GPS unit for £479! Looks good but I'm sure Bell won't be far behind. I've got a Bell 980 and it's superb but the 550 unit has even longer warnings of Gatso's etc. http://www.snooperdirect.com/s6.html

I've been thinking over the same mate. I was going to get my fluid changed but after reading quite a few posts here about them going tits up afterwards it put me off. The box has now died anyway and I am trying to decide whether to go for the SE Fast Road rebuild or convert to a manual. I'm running over 400bhp and thinking of going for big turbo's and injectors in future to try to get 500 - 600bhp. I spoke to Peter at SE about the fast road rebuild and without telling me exactly what is done he did say that it increases the power handling substantially and makes the changes quicker and firmer. He said it would handle more than 400bhp nicely but didn't give me a maximum it could take. I think he said the normal rebuild is about £1200 and the F.R is £1450 plus about £250 labour to remove and re-fit. A manual conversion with a big clutch will probably be about £2K - £2.5K from what I can work out - manual box £1200?, used accessories £300?, clutch £400?, fitting £400? I like my auto but if I go for really big power then maybe a manual and hefty clutch is the way to go...?

Mine sometimes idles at 1500rpm but not consistently and I've never noticed a pattern to it. It's a real pain on an auto when you are almost pushed into the back of the car in front all the time and wear out brake pads at an increased rate.

The guy who did mine had a scalpel with a pen taped to it so the pen stuck out past the point of the blade if that makes sense. He could then rest the pen on the top of the glass and the blade was a set distance from the top edge the whole way round. He did the rear screen by laying the film upside down on the outside of the window and cutting it round as a template - then all he had to do was stick it on the inside ready cut! He'd been doing it 12 years too and had somehow got himself a free BMW X5 from the BMW dealer for doing their cars! Lucky git!

The second one is for cruise control which you may not have.
