Going on the dyno at Billing
I'm using an AshSpec chip at the moment but I've got JWT and JD ones that I can swap in about 30 secs now I have an external socket on my ECU ;) The Ash and JD seem to be overfueling a lot though which I thought was odd to get detonation the other day. The JWT is for a single POP so I only tried it as a test when I was having problems getting it running. I suppose they might be overfueling at low revs and getting too lean higher up...

Going on the dyno at Billing
I've had the car up to 11psi and it is VERY quick already but I did get a bit of det on a hot afternoon heading up the A1. If I can get 450 - 500bhp I'll be so happy after all the problems I've had  How much difference does the timing on the chip make? I'm presuming adjusting the base timing will be able to compensate if the chip is not "spot on"? Is there anything else I might need to make the best of these mods?

Going on the dyno at Billing
Is it head gaskets that would usually pop first from too much boost? (providing the fueling is correct) With these T28's running at about 2psi it feels about the same as a stock Z to me. 8psi feels like my Z did with stock turbos on about 16psi. 18psi would be some scary shit! :o If the engine is safe on say 16psi with stock turbo's does this mean 16psi with bigger ones is fine too even though there's more air being put through? Is the pressure inside the engine not really the issue, just the fueling?

Going on the dyno at Billing
Thor have said I can have an hour on the dyno at Billing to set my car up :D Hopefully I'll be able to get the fuel controller fitted in time so they can tweak it just right. Made a big mistake did we?!

Ah ****
I think that's the best offer you'll get Clarkey ;) LMAO!

is it goods news or bad news??
The sensor is on the side of the gearbox. You might be able to remove it and clean it but usually they go faulty. Not huge money to replace.

Tyre wear question
Worn upper links can cause this too I think. Does anyone know how to check the ride height?
-
Tyre wear question
Is the car lowered, bigger wheels, sagging springs? The camber on the front is not adjustable but Harve is doing a correction kit ;)

Might be an idea to take a few tools ;) Better not forget my tent LOL

north east convoy
I'm going down from Leeds on Friday and will be meeting PaulG around the A1/M1 link area. I think we will be going earlier though.

problems problems
If they are similar to the TurboXS ones I have, you might be able to put a spacer washer under the spring to increase the pressure?

I love my Z again
Twatty twat :mac1:  I think you should have one too after driving it at PPS half the afternoon! You owe me fuel! LOL

I love my Z again
LOL I'll have to get it ironed ready for Billing  It's been looking such a pile of junk on the drive for the last year I can't believe it's finally sorted. I've been standing around staring at it all week

APEXi BOV's - fitting questions
I think you'll have to remove that cooler mate :( It's mounted on a bracket so you could always get a replacement one from AndyZ or somewhere? Depends if the bolts for the bracket are rusted too I suppose LOL

I love my Z again
Oh yes ;) I'd not taken her out before and told her she would hear me coming and know my car when she saw it. She was a bit confused. When I got there she was laughing and said "Who do you think you are?! Batman?!" She loves the Z :D

What a bodge........
I know someone who bought one for £20 for his Mini Cooper S. It just alters the reading on the air flow meter  It didn't work and his car wouldn't go over a few thousand RPM!

I love my Z again
I tried a few different chips and the one I'm using at the moment seems pretty good but it is still overfueling - the back of the car is sooty and it's popping and banging every few seconds. I got through £90 of Optimax in less than 200 miles this weekend  I think having BOV's is the main problem with idle now. Putting so many upgrades on at once made it hard to identify the problem. I've got the Apexi S-AFC on order that I'm going to fit at Billing and Thor have said they will set it up on their RR at the show :D

Surely these are adjustable?! Most DV's are... They shouldn't be opening on idle.

Zed vs Lambo Gallardo
I cruised through one of the main streets in Leeds for posing outside the bars last night on my way home from the cinema and got blocked in by taxi's right next to one of the new uprated Lambo Murkywotsits in pearl orange with a pylon wing on the back. Everyone stopped looking at the Lambo and came over for a chat about the Z :D

Billing bargain
I remember trying to do these a few years ago and it just went crazy. My supplier wanted to double the price too and when the order got to over 35 kits they said they couldn't cope. Well done for sorting it
