I like clear side indicators and the crystal corner indicators and the 99 spec rear lights, but this time i tend to agree that the orange back lights go with the orange side repeaters.

Sorry to see you step down Stephen, you have always replied and given good advice and i hope you are still around for that. I think the decline of the forum had a major down turn when the "what did you do to your Z today" was closed, this was used by everyone as q quick post and for me was always a source of encouragement to keep going and even though it was stopped to start more personal threads it is all about google clicks and search ratings. having one thread that has hundreds of post is regarded as a major negative for the search engine. So for a better rating I feel it has damaged this forum, which is such a shame. I know I don't post much but I reguarly check in and make comments and post and follow progress by the club members. I do hope this club/ forum moves forward and grows.

Hi Guys I know a lot of you out there have had issues with the PTU, think at the moment mine is ok (famous last words, as i have just relocated it to the air intake area) But do any of you know where I can get a series 2 and harness adaptor from? I have had a look and the Z centre is selling them fro £180. just wondered if there was any other outlet?

Hi Si glad your still around and have come back from your tough time. I don't think anyone is pushing you, but for me personally i just wanted to know if it was still happening, if you were still around and if so a rough eta for the start of work. As the money had been saved spent saved and spent again on various bits and bobs oh and cam belt water pump etc lol. glad to have u back, i have sent a copy of our conversations to you and hope to hear from you soon. regards Stuart

Hi Si Its been a long time since any news of any interior's having been completed or even a planned eta for any of us who are still waiting. i know you are busy and this has possibly been a massive undertaking, but it has been many months overdue and I for one would like to have an idea of when my interior is likely to start. I have also still not received a receipt which you also promised me, or a sample of the material to be used. sorry to have to post again but I have no communication from you when i have private messaged you or when i posted on another thread released to this re-trim group buy. I know that Simon is busy and poss didn’t realise the amount of time this was going to take, but we are now a long way down the road and I haven’t heard much from completed orders or a schedule of when others are going to be done. Wow what a build You have certainly had your struggles and all credit to you for sticking with it and following your dream,there are a a lot of people who at numerous stages of your creation would have happily thrown in the towel and walked away. That is going to be one very nice car. I think even nicer as its not in a regular color. good work sir :thumbup1::thumbup1:

Well the belt marks line up with sprocket marks and don’t move so that must be correct. Right?

Hi guys Thanks for yr advice thought it was as spot on as it cud be. But have removed it and lined up the belt marks with sprocket marks and also have tensioner set up with a good gap. Hope u agree that is all ok Turned by hand numerous revolutions and no feeling of interference or fowling so unless it is wrong again then I think it’s done:yes:

Well thanks guys. Looks like it comes off and I do it again. Let’s hope it all goes back as in the link. Can’t see any reason why it won’t it all looks ok now tbh and cranks over by hand with no noise or interference but I will re do using the marks on the belt just to be absolutely correct Thanks again

Haven’t got an FSM so not sure wat the tooth count or tension setup should be. Literally had tensioner on loose put a bar behind it and levered it out till right and did up the bolts. Whoops sounds like it should be a bit more scientific than that

Yeah I see that but it’s hard to line those up when u start from the crank sprocket. Had numerous times till all marks lined up seem to change when I did a couple of revolutions. All ok now:lol: Are those spark plugs ok ?

Hi decided to eventually get round to my cam belt Replaced idlers tensioner and belt Still have couplers thermostat and by pass pipes to replace and water pump. Was a bit of a pain when after cranking 2 3 revolutions found cam and exhaust cam was a tooth out then this was a struggle to get sorted as kept jumping on crank sprocket. Done in the end. Have a new set of spark plugs to put in new ones are ngk laser platinum old ones ngk iridium any noticeable difference or preference?

Not a nice experience you think you can trust people and they always let u down If your back selling yr parts I am still waiting on price for the blue door glass and upper door strips Regards Stuart

Having removed the cam covers for water pump and cam belt replacement , decided to rub them down and respect them

Guys gutted for u with the weather. But all credit to those who went. Mine is still apart and waiting for cam belt water pump to be sorted
