  1. Hi Gents I know this has been covered before, but rather than wade through all the previous post thought I would ask the wealth of knowledge here. I am looking at changing my N/A auto to a manual and I have been able to source a TT manual box with all the bits required box pedal slave and master cylinder's pressure plate and clutch fork etc and all the other various bits I will need, TBH not sure how much more I will need. first question is What else should I be getting for this conversion? so I can confirm before I pick up the kit. what parts should I buy new or replace? will the TT box fit with out alterations on to the N/A engine? I know that the N/A manual box has to be modified to fit the TT engine, something about the starter and grinding the box bell housing, but not sure if anything has to be done to a TT manual to marry upto a N/A engine? Any other pointers to carry out this task gratefully received thank you all in advance S
  2. Hi I wont be able to make it now either my lovely wife has organised a weekend away, nice to go away with her but was really looking forward to this. lets hope my interior is done for beaulieu and i cam attend that one instead.

  5. Hi Si thanks look forward to hearing from you. Might have slightly changed the idea now and might do away with the alcantara and just go full leather ( as trying to colour match two different materials might be tricky) with diamond stitching. So ring me message or email me and we can confirm it all Regards Stuart
  6. Unfortunately Simon hasn’t been the best at communication I did have coms with him back in November even return an email with a couple of suggestions about colour of materials but I haven’t had a response. The only way to be sure is for me to drop off and collect my interior in person so at least I know where it is and how to get it back. Sorry Si I am sure you are busy or having problems, but you did say that you were going to get on top of the communication and emails. We all hope to speak and hear from you soon.
  7. I have been thinking of using a 350z engine and gearbox and transplanting it into the 300zx with the poss upgrade of twin turbos. A more reliable engine and gearbox possibly. Thoughts?
  8. Yep seconded good work perseverance paid off and at not a major cost, win win:thumbup::clap:
  9. Sorry to see yr zed in that state mate u must be shaken and stirred. Glad yr ok
  10. Awesome thanks Jeff your like my personal shopper lol Regards Stuart
  11. Cheers Jeff sounds like a fun time and mess but worth a go. Me and my mate reasonably handing eventuality got the cam belt and various bits on correctly ( thanks for yours and Stephens advice) so think we can do this oil change. Some good points to bare in mind. So there aren’t any filters to change just clean out the strainer? About 3 litres of normal ATF needed then? Stuart
  12. Thanks guys for feed back. In London at the mo when back tomorrow will get the vin so you can check Andrew. Cheers Jeff so you are saying I cud use a standard gasket? So is the Nissan dealer right and there are two small filters? Are those the ones that need to be changed? Think an oem one wud fit better
  13. Yep I would assume that’s the one Nissan dealer said there were two little ones in the box at £18.36 each and I thought sure that’s not right lol Hence back on here to check with the experts :thumbup1:
  14. Do I need just normal ATF or is there anything specific grade required?
  15. Ooh that might help thanks. How much?
  16. Hi guys Does anyone know what the part number (S) i need for the auto box filters 1992 n/a ?
  17. that looks so nice, lots of shiny clean components to install. Looking forward to seeing the before and after engine bay shot. As Gaz said "how to improve on perfection" well if it was perfection then you couldn't improve on it, but we get the drift. keep on with the updates Si :thumbup1:
  18. Done:thumbup: Great club, excellent knowledge, always willing and helpful, Meetings and events arranged
  19. Great to meet you guys great cars a load of hard work blood sweat and tears gone into those zeds. Nice to put faces to names Enjoy the rest of the weekend
  20. Nice to hear that someone else in the group buy is able to respond. I am sure he is bogged down but as you say a quick message is seconds and means a lot. Leaves me feeling that if my full interior goes up 1 will I know if it’s got there 2 will I know if it’s being or been done 3 will I get it back From all the forum comments about Simon it has always been so positive and showed hide n seat to be professional. So I am very disappointed with this lack of communication. The thing is I still want my interior done. Let’s hope we hear soon
  21. Well it was nice to here from you on here Simon. I have emailed you and tried to ring your business mobile but haven’t got any response since the initial contact. Have any of the other members of this group buy dropped out due to the lack of coms or are we all still in? Really interested in finding out. I do understand that you have had a tough time and I truly sympathise with you and I understand things can get tough. But you did set this group buy up and I think communication is vital just so that we all know where we stand. But hey maybe it’s just me that’s left in, if so please contact send me the samples you said you would and let’s move forward. All the best look forward to hearing from you Regards Stuart
  22. Dude u really are having some luck with her. At least you have confirmed a knackered starter and a direction to fix her. Don’t give up heart you have such an amazing looking car and I for one can’t wait to see it in person. Hopefully at the NEC but I understand if she can’t make it best to finish off with the quality u started with and end up with the car u intended Good luck mate
